2 Recombinant Integrins Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins that play key roles in regulating cell-cell and cell-extracellular matrix interactions, which together contribute to tissue formation and initiate signaling pathways that control cell movement, differentiation, growth and survival. Twenty-four integrin α/β heterodimers have been identified. These heterodimeric proteins play important roles in cancer, fibrosis, and thrombotic and inflammatory diseases and therefore, have become a key subject of interest for pharmaceutical companies. Integrin avb3 bound to Vitronectin in a dose-dependent manner with an apparent K D < 10 nm. kda LAP TGF-β1 (ng/ml) Recombinant Integrin avb6 Binds LAP TGF-b1. Recombinant Human Integrin avb6 (Catalog # 3817-AV) was coated onto microplate wells at 2 µg/ml and increasing concentrations of Recombinant Human LAP TGF-b1 (Catalog # 246-LP) were added. LAP TGF-b1 bound to Integrin avb6 in a dose-dependent manner with an apparent K D <0.1 nm. kda Integrin α2bbβ Integrin αvβ Integrin αvβ SDS-PAGE Analysis of Recombinant Human Integrin a2bb3 under Reducing Conditions. To assess purity, Recombinant Human Integrin a2bb3 (Catalog # 7148-A2; 1 µg/lane) was resolved by 4 20% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver staining.
