Partly, it s because of LF s importance LF imposes a health burden affecting 120 million people 40 million with overt disease 80 million with hidden infection and disease 1.1 billion people at risk of infection 83 endemic countries throughout the tropics/sub-tropics leading cause of disability, stigma, economic loss
