5 Lighter skinned people are more prone to skin cancer as a result of sun exposure Dark skinned people are protected with more melanin, but many still develop skin cancer In fact, when African Americans develop skin cancer, the incidence of morbidity and mortality is more likely. In other words, the cancer is usually more serious and severe.

15 SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor SPF is a measure of the amount of UVB radiation that can reach the skin before it burn The higher the SPF, the greater the UVB protection
