1 January March 2015 Block 1 Track A 100 Hours January 4- March 15, 2015 Block 1 Track B 150 Hours January 4- March Training Delivery: This 100 Hour online course covers all the core and basic concepts of Ayurveda within the scope of Ayurveda 101. Introduction, history, Samkhya Philosophy, Ayurvedic Nutrition, in depth look at concept of Agni, Ama and states of agni in Vata, Pitta and Kapha person as well as the Malas. The program focuses on the basic tenets of Ayurveda especially Prakruti (Psychosomatic constitution, Agni (Digestive Fire) assessment, daily routine, seasonal routine and basic Ayurvedic Nutrition for your own dosha. The student will learn about Seasonal and Daily Regimen as well as creating Recipes and seasonal and daily regimen for themselves and two case studies. The student will also be expected to list, define and co relate the Ayurvedic Physiology principles of all the three doshas and 15 sub doshas to different symptoms. And be able to define the concept of Prana, Tejas and Ojas. Student will be expected to co relate the Agni and Mala to sub doshas of samana, apana, kledaka, bodhaka, pachaka and ranjaka Block 1 Track B 150 Hours covers all of the Block Hours curriculum listed in the left column. Block 1 Track B has extra curriculum related to women support (Ayurveda and menstrual cycle of vata, pitta and kapha women, menopause in V, P and K, and, holistic balancing approaches to these issues.) We also covers the marma points of face, hands and feet. The course offers a hybrid style of learning *Home Study* Distant Learning portion * Live classes happen online via Webex* *Onsite workshop/practicum for Block 1, Track B (Optional to attend) Home Study: Previously Recorded Classes, DVDs, Books and Modules Interactive Flexible Contact Hours - Online Forums *Please note that each session has 1 to 3 lectures with breaks in between. (2.5 Hrs 3 Hrs online classes on Sunday Morning via Webex) Evaluation: Submission of Student workbooks, and, assignments may ed to us at ayurvedawellnessinstitute@gmail.com. However we prefer that students either upload their assignments online or share via Google docs with ayurvedawellnessinstitute@gmail.com. Deadlines Even though we give a checklist with a date- by which we expect an assignment to be completestudents can do their assignments a little later or even earlier. However, we may not be able to provide timely feedback for late assignments. 1

2 Assignments may be short write ups, write a blog, Practical Assignments related to cooking an Ayurvedic recipe, Multiple Choice Questions, Fill out the case study form, Prakruti form, vikruti form, Daily Regimen quiz, Seasonal Regimen quiz, Daily Biological Clock. There are two case study forms that a student must submit, in order to graduate from this program into the Block 2.
