2 Course information The course is aimed at senior residents, board-certified radiologists and fellows and is designed to advance the knowledge of an array of indications for musculoskeletal multimodality imaging. Didactic lectures combined with interactive case-based discussion will highlight common pathologies and imaging pitfalls in the diagnosis of joint, bone, limb nerve and soft tissue disorders. International renowned European experts will ensure a high-quality teaching programme. Learning objectives to learn about the state-of-the-art imaging of selected MSK disorders to learn the basics of various common and uncommon diseases, with emphasis on the best imaging method for individual clinical scenarios to appreciate the clinical impact of multimodality imaging to multidisciplinary patient management

Blum, Nancy/FR to know the principles and the application of dualenergy in MSK to know the principles of Metal Artifact Reduction to know the principles of dynamic CT scan for joint evaluation What to know about congenital bone diseases F. Vanhoenacker, Antwerp/BE to provide an easy and systematic analysis system for radiological identification of syndromes, dysplasia and other hereditary musculoskeletal disorders to illustrate the different signs that may be useful in the imaging diagnosis to make the radiologist familiar with the most prevalent hereditary musculoskeletal disorders to help to select those patients that may benefit from further genetic counselling Imaging of the upper limb nerves C. Karantanas, Heraklion/GR to learn how early hip osteoarthritis (OA) is defined on plain films and MR imaging to understand how to explore on imaging clinically occult congenital or acquired disorders which may cause early hip OA to become familiar with early hip OA-related disorders such as femoroacetabular impingement, developmental dysplasia, avascular necrosis, labral tears and traumatic and insufficiency fractures Rheumatoid arthritis: what do MRI and US show J. Teh, Oxford/UK to understand the important role of MRI and US in the early diagnosis of synovitis before irreversible damage occurs to learn how MRI and US help in the assessment of the extent of inflammation and structural changes to analyse the role of MRI and US in assessing therapeutic response to understand the role of US in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis Multimodality imaging of bone marrow K. Verstraete, Ghent/BE to describe the typical features of normal bone marrow to determine origin of bone marrow changes to present the imaging characteristics of a bone marrow disease on different types of imaging techniques
