2 WARNINGS: ALLOW THE FOLLOWING WITHHOLDING PERIODS BETWEEN LAST APPLICATION AND HARVEST: Apples and pears days Can damage eyes. Can irritate nose, throat and skin. Harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through skin. In case of eye contact with concentrate wash immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. In case of skin contact, wash with plenty of soap and water. Keep out of reach of children, animals and uninformed persons. Store away from food and feed. Harmful to fish and wildlife. Keep out of reach of children and animals. In case of poisoning CALL A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY AND MAKE THIS LABEL AVAILABLE TO HIM. Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions the registration holder does not warrant that it will be efficacious under all conditions because the action and effect thereof may be affected by factors such as climatic and storage conditions; quality of dilution water, compatibility with other substances not indicated on the label and the occurrence of resistance of the disease against the remedy concerned as well as by the method, time and accuracy of application. The registration holder furthermore does not accept responsibility for damage to crops, vegetation, the environment or harm to man or animal or for lack of performance of the remedy concerned due to failure of the user to follow the label instructions or to the occurrence of conditions which could not have been foreseen in terms of the registration. Consult the supplier immediately in the event of any uncertainty. PRECAUTIONS: Avoid eye contact. Avoid contact with skin and clothing. Do not eat, smoke or drink whilst mixing or applying the product or before washing hands and face. Do not inhale the spray mist. For worker protection during mixing, loading and application, wear protective clothing. In addition, during mixing and loading and other handling, wear goggles or a face shield and rubber gloves. Do not enter treated areas without protective clothing until sprays have dried. Always wash with soap and water after use and accidental skin contact. Wash contaminated clothes after use. Prevent contamination of food, feeds, drinking water and eating utensils. Wash sprayer out with clean water after use and before other chemicals are used. Do not contaminate water sources by cleaning of equipment or disposal of wastes. Avoid drift to water sources, pastures and crops not to be treated. Invert the empty container over the spray or mixing tank and allow to drain for 30 seconds after the flow has slowed down to a drip. Thereafter rinse the empty container three times with a volume of water equal to minimum of 10 % of that of the container before destroying the container in the prescribed manner. Destroy empty container and do not use for any other purpose. SYMPTOMS OF POISONING: CAN CAUSE EYE DAMAGE CAN CAUSE SKIN IRRITATION FIRST AID TREATMENT: IN CASE OF EYE CONTACT WASH WITH PLENTY OF WATER AND SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE IN CASE OF SKIN CONTACT WASH WITH SOAP AND WATER FOR 15 MINUTES IN CASE OF INGESTION DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. ADMINISTER 1-2 GLASSES OF WATER, AND IF POSSIBLE g OF ACTIVATED CHARCOAL. NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: ANTIDOTAL TREATMENT IS NOT APPLICABLE. CONSIDER GASTRIC LAVAGE AVOIDING ASPIRATION. 3 GENERAL: NUSTAR 100 EW is a systemic fungicide with curative and preventive properties. NUSTAR 100 EW has curative properties up to 5 days (120 hours) against apple scab. NUSTAR 100 EW is effective at very low rates against scab and powdery mildew of apples. NUSTAR 100 EW IS ALWAYS RECOMMENDED IN A TANK MIX WITH DITHANE M-45 (REG. NO. L1613 Act No. 36 of 1947) AGAINST APPLE SCAB AND IT IS ALSO SUGGESTED THAT NUSTAR 100 EW BE USED IN A PROGRAMME WITH NON-RELATED FUNGICIDES AGAINST POWDERY MILDEW. THIS IS DONE TO DELAY THE DEVELOPMENT OF RESISTANCE AGAINST SYSTEMIC FUNGICIDES. The efficacy of NUSTAR 100 EW is not affected by rain or irrigation within 3 hours of application due to its rapid absorption by plant tissue. COMPATIBILITY: NUSTAR 100 EW is compatible with other chemicals normally used in the same spray programme on apples and pears. DIRECTION FOR USE: USE ONLY AS DIRECTED. MIXING INSTRUCTIONS Apples and Pears Mix the required quantity of DITHANE M-45 with a small quantity of water to form a thin paste. Fill the spray tank 1/4 to 1/2 full with water and add the DITHANE M-45 paste through a 50 mesh sieve to the water in the spray tank whilst stirring. Add the required amount of NUSTAR 100 EW directly into the spray tank and fill with water whilst stirring constantly.
