3 SPEAKERS Barbara Kamińska, MD, PhD Pediatrician, specialized in pediatric gastroenterology. Former and a long-time head of the Department of Pediatrics, Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Children's Nutrition at Medical University of Gdansk. Currently a Faculty at the Pomeranian Academy in Słupsk, the Faculty of Health Sciences. President of Polish Pediatric Society, Branch in Gdansk. A Regional Consultant for Pediatrics in Pomeranian Voivodship. Bryan H. King, MD, MBA The Robert Porter Distinguished Professor of Psychiatry and Vice Chair of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for UCSF Health, as well as Vice President for Child Behavioral Health Services at UCSF Benioff Children s Hospitals. King served on the American Psychiatric Association's Neurodevelopmental Disorders Workgroup responsible for writing the new definition of Autism Spectrum Disorder in DSM-5. A graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin and the George Washington University School of Business, King has previously held faculty appointments at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and Dartmouth Medical School. He has worked in a number of key clinical leadership positions at Seattle Children s Hospital, the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and Children s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, and the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospital. King is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and a member of the American College of Psychiatrists (ACP), and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP). He has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors

4 throughout his career, including AACAP s George Trajan Award for Contributions in Developmental Disabilities (1995) and APA s Frank J. Menolascino Award for Psychiatric Services for Persons with Intellectual Development Disorders/Developmental Disabilities (2001). King s research has focused largely on clinical trials in Autism and Intellectual Disability. He has authored more than 120 academic publications and has participated in several of the major multi-site medication trials in autism spectrum disorder. Current project in Poland: Autism symptomatology in females and ADOS-2, Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission. Project Institution: Neurodevelopmental Disorders Research Lab Institute of Experimental and Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Rzeszów. Field of study: Public/Global Health. Grant P Amandine Lassalle, PhD Psychologist in cognitive neuroscience, works in d Arc Autism & ADHD Research Center of University of Amsterdam Department of Psychology (Brain & Cognition), Holland. Studied the brain correlates of empathy for pain in autism using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fmri). Completed PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Waterloo Canada. Worked at the Autism Research Centre (ARC) of Cambridge University and the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging of Harvard Medical School (USA). Uses fmri to investigate the neural correlates of emotion perception in people with and without autism. Her research employs a variety of techniques (fmri, EEG, magnetoencephalography [MEG], eyetracking, neuropsychological testing. Certified in ADOS-2. Currently ADOS-2 trainee trainer.

5 Agnieszka Szlagatys - Sidorkiewicz, MD, PhD Pediatrician, pediatric gastroenterologist. Head of the Department of Pediatrics, Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Children s Nutrition at the Medical University of Gdansk. Vice President of the Polish Society for Children s Nutrition, co-author of standards and recommendations for nutritional treatment in chronic neurological diseases, in the course of intensive care, inflammatory bowel disease and SMA in children. Ewa Pilarska, MD, PhD Developmental neurologist, pediatrician, Head of the Department of Developmental Neurology at the Medical University of Gdansk. Maria Mazurkiewicz-Bełdzińska, MD, PhD Developmental neurologist, neurologist, Head of the Developmental Neurology at the University Clinical Center, Department of Developmental Neurology, Medical University of Gdansk. Agnieszka Rynkiewicz, MAT, MD, PhD Assistant Professor, Head of Neurodevelopmental Disorders Research Lab, Institute of Experimental and Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Rzeszow, International recognized certified ADOS-2 trainer, clinician, PhD in Psychiatry, Head of Center for Diagnosis, Therapy and Education SPECTRUM ASC-MED, Gdansk & Rzeszow. Certified in ADOS-2, STAT and BOSCC. Her interest includes the neurodevelopmental disorders,

6 sex/gender differences in autism and ICT-based solutions to the standardized instruments used in diagnosis and therapy of autism. Received her MD from the Medical University of Gdansk, Poland, completed her residency training in psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry, Medical University of Gdansk and Clinical Regional Psychiatric Hospital in Gdansk, Poland. Completed the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLE/ECFMG) in USA. Holds a PhD in psychiatry from Medical University of Gdansk in Poland. Her PhD in psychiatry is on autism in females and co-occurring psychopathology. Graduated from Seattle Pacific University, USA with MAT in Special Education. Developed the Questionnaire for Autism Spectrum Conditions (Q-ASC) [Attwood, Garnett, Rynkiewicz 2011] to identify gender-sensitive profiles of autism symptomatology. Co-authored Polish adaptation of STAT. Izabela Łucka, MD, PhD

7 Child and adolescent psychiatrist, psychotherapist (Certificate of Polish Psychiatric Association) and supervisor in training of Polish Psychiatrist Society. She works at Department of Developmental, Psychotic and Geriatric Psychiatry, Medical University of Gdansk. She consults her patients at the Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic and at her private practice. Board member of the Scientific Section of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Association PTP. She s a Regional Consultant for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Pomeranian Voivodship. Professional Interests: autism spectrum disorders, eating disorders, depressive disorders, posttraumatic stress disorders. Katarzyna Plata-Nazar, MD, PhD Pediatrician, specialized in pediatric allergology and gastroenterology.
