2 Defining Survivorship The NCI defines cancer survivors as one who remains alive and continues to function from the time of diagnosis until the end of life Survivorship covers the physical consequences of treatment, to the psychological stressors that accompany life threatening illness, to the challenges of finances and families and the forced redefinition of normal life.

31 Survivorship Support has Arrived at Roswell Park The Survivorship Program is now integrated in our comprehensive Oncology Care Model We have pulled together the resources within Roswell Park and identified community providers from many disciplines to address the needs of our cancer survivors and their caregivers The measure of our success will be the improvements in quality of life, the level of wellness and health outcomes among our survivors
