4 Course Description The mission of this Conference is to present the latest information on CT screening for lung cancer including the component issues of early diagnosis and treatment. Topics will also include a discussion of guidelines surrounding screening as well as practical information and options for starting a screening program. Interesting cases selected for critical decision making will be discussed from a multidisciplinary perspective with a focus on the management of nodules and treatment of early stage lung cancer with audience participation. A forum will be held at the end of the day for questions from the audience of lay people and physicians interested in CT screening to a panel of experts. Objectives At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to: n n n Describe the principals of a successful lung cancer screening program with a focus on critical performance measures. Assess the development and current state of lung cancer screening so physicians can make appropriate recommendations to patients who are interested in screening. Identify potential issues concerning CT screening in the surgical management of lung cancer. Who Should Attend Primary Care Physicians, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, General Practitioners, Radiologists, Surgeons, Cardiologists, Pulmonologists, Epidemiologists, Nurse Practitioners & other Allied Health Professionals.
