2 The 12 th Annual Head & Neck Surgery/Oncology Course Since 1996 annual Courses in Temporal Bone and Ear Surgery take place in Bangkok, Thailand. This collaboration in teaching between the local faculty from the Otolaryngology Institute of Thailand (the Department of Otolaryngology, Rajavithi Hospital, Bangkok), senior members of the Royal College of Otolaryngologists of Thailand and an International Faculty has been extended in 2003 to another annual course, dealing with Head and Neck Cancer. Both courses are taking place under the patronage of the Board of the Royal College of Otolaryngologists of Thailand. After it s foundation in 2008 The Thai Association of Head and Neck Surgeons will be involved in the Head and Neck Course of 2011 for the second time. This four-day course will cover the current topics in the management of head and neck cancer. There will be lectures, video demonstrations, panel discussions and televised live surgery of neck dissection and laryngectomy. Hand-on workshop will be organized with the aim to stimulate the participants to practise basic microvascular anastomosis and TNE flexible endoscopic foreign body removal. The course is suitable both for trainees and practicing surgeons. Asian colleagues are cordially invited to join the course, which provides up-to-date knowledge in various fields of head and neck cancer.
