1 SMO-Christie Lung Cancer Course Wednesday 12th - Friday 14th February 2014 ducation Centre (Dept 17), The Christie, Manchester, M20 4BX This event is a joint initiative between The uropean Society for Medical Oncology and The Christie NHS Foundation Trust which allows us to bring together a renowned multidisciplinary faculty to deliver a comprehensive course on the management of lung cancer for young oncologists Learning outcomes To learn about the evidence-base for lung cancer screening and novel diagnostic modalities To learn about the management of early stage NSCLC and use of adjuvant treatments To understand the role of multi-modality treatment in locally advanced NSCLC and limited stage SCLC To learn about the management of patients with actionable driver mutations and novel targeted agents for advanced NSCLC To understand the role of immune-checkpoint blockade for lung cancer and to learn about novel immunotherapies To learn about treatment of NSCLC with oligometastatic disease To learn about the systemic treatment of mesothelioma and small cell lung cancer and integrating palliative care in lung cancer treatment About the organisers SMO The uropean Society for Medical Oncology (SMO) is urope s leading non-profit medical oncology organisation. There are three main entrances for visitors Oak Road Reception, Palatine Road and Wilmslow Road (Outpatients) 1. ntering at Oak Road Reception follow signs to Wilmslow Dining Room or ducation Centre down the glass corridor passing the Conservatory and Cancer Information Centre. Take a left at the end of the corridor and go past the Social Work department.
