The following tiered model combines health risk screenings and risk stratification with a comprehensive cardiovascular evaluation. Targeted education and a defined referral pathway expedite lifestyle modifications and early medical management of cardiovascular and other risk factors. 4 Biometric Screening Kettering Health Network s Corporate Wellness team is comprised of Registered Nurses, Registered Dietitians, Certified Exercise Physiologists and Licensed Athletic Trainers to help your organization achieve its wellness goals. Each specialization provides the individual with a comprehensive review of results and recommendations for improvement. Our goals are to provide each individual with a personalized experience, information, and tools to create positive change. In addition, our team is available to work in conjunction with your wellness committee to help customize and optimize your wellness plan. Health Risk Assessment (HRA) Screening Package The HRA screening package includes the biometric screening package plus a comprehensive 60 question profile. The biometric screening package includes the following components: Lipid profile plus glucose, body mass index, waist circumference, blood pressure, functional screen and educational results review with a certified health care professional. The one-on-one private review addresses individual needs and resources for change. The profile includes lifestyle and behavior questions. When combined with the biometric data, it gives the individual a comprehensive look at their health risks in a personalized report. An executive summary is provided to administration and includes a customized aggregate report identifying high risk areas of concern. This base of information is used to build an effective wellness program tailored to those specific areas of concern. Also, departments completing the HRA will have access to an athletic trainer for musculoskeletal assessments and educational sessions at scheduled monthly visits. For those that complete the Health Risk Assessment Screening and score moderate or high, the following testing will be completed and billed either through insurance or out of pocket. We are aware that the essential job functions and unique health hazards encountered by emergency response personnel place them at high risk for heart related events. Focused cardiovascular screening and early medical management could prevent many premature deaths. This is especially well documented in firefighters. These specific injuries are what Public Safety Officials are experiencing on a daily basis. Athletic Trainers can help prevent small injuries from becoming major disabilities. These unique Athletic Trainers have a vast knowledge into the Public Safety setting and provide realistic, functional based exercises, and training to assist in getting back to duty faster. 11 Lung Cancer Screening Adults Aged 55-80, with a History of Smoking The USPSTF recommends annual screening for lung cancer with low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) in adults aged 55 to 80 years who have a 30 pack-year smoking history and currently smoke or have quit within the past 15 years. Screening should be discontinued once a person has not smoked for 15 years or develops a health problem that substantially limits life expectancy or the ability or willingness to have curative lung surgery.
