OBJECTIVES Discuss the current standard-of-care chemotherapy options in the management of ovarian cancer. Review recent developments in the use of PARP inhibitors and anti-angiogenic agents in the management of ovarian cancer. Explain the role of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in the management of advanced ovarian cancer. Discuss the evidence for HIPEC therapy and determine appropriate subsets of patients that would benefit from HIPEC therapy. Incorporate new AJCC staging criteria for breast cancer patients that includes prognostic indicators and determine appropriate therapies based on staging criteria. Employ pre-habilitation techniques to optimize the patient s functional status prior to surgery. Explain the prevalence of physician burnout and potential contributors. Identify individual as well as organizational strategies to enhance physician well-being. Explain the evidence behind the American Cancer Society guidelines for early detection of prostate cancers and prescribe appropriate screening protocols for different populations at risk. Discuss precision medicine in relation to oncology care. Explain how treatment can be directed using tumor genomic analysis. Discuss how immunotherapy may be considered a form of precision medicine. Advocate an exchange of ideas between colleagues in clinical areas of oncology.

4 TARGET AUDIENCE This symposium is designed for medical, surgical and radiation oncologists, hematologists, radiologists, pathologists, surgeons, gynecologists, gastroenterologists, urologists, primary care physicians, internal medicine physicians, medical residents, medical students, physician assistants, advance practice nurses, radiation therapists, oncology nurses and any health care professionals who are interested in ovarian cancer, breast cancer, peritoneal surface malignancies, prostate cancer screening guidelines, cancer immunotherapy, functional medicine in cancer care and prevention, precision medicine and physician burnout.
