2 INTRODUCTION Kzunoko, which is Jpnese trditionl food, is slted herring roe food product. Kzunoko lipid contins lots of n- 3 polyunsturted ftty cids, such s eicospentenoic (EPA) nd docoshexenoic cids (DHA). EPA nd DHA hve suppressing-effects on the moridity of coronry rtery disese, hypertension, nd hyperlipidemi. However, Fig. 1 Kzunoko (slted herring roe food product) Kzunoko lipid enriched cholesterol. It hs een thought tht dietry cholesterol increses risk of coronry hert disese. Aim to this study is to clrify the effect of kzunoko lipid on totl cholesterol, tricylglycerol nd phospholipid levels in plsm nd liver nd plsm glucose level of mle Crj:CD-1 mice.

12 Conclusion Plsm cholesterol levels of 3% nd 6% Kzunoko lipid diet groups were significntly lower thn those of lrd nd 1% Kzunoko lipid diet groups though Kzunoko lipid contined lots of cholesterol. This result indictes tht influence of EPA nd DHA overcome the effect of dietry cholesterol on plsm cholesterol level. Plsm glucose level ws significntly lower in 3% nd 6% Kzunoko lipid diet groups thn in lrd diet group. Plsm insulin, leptin nd diponectin levels of Kzunoko lipid diet groups tended to e higher thn those of lrd diet group. Plsm diponectin level ws significntly higher in 6% Kzunoko lipid diet group thn in lrd nd 1% Kzunoko lipid diet groups. These results suggest tht Kzunoko lipid intke induces the reduction of plsm lipid nd glucose levels.
