2 Thanksgiving Bags Set-up Oct..- Nov. 20 Distribution Nov. 20 For food contributions For monetary contributions Pg. 2 of 6 Emmaus House will be having its Thanksgiving at Home program during the month of November. We sign up 300 households of families in need in order to make sure they have all the ingredients needed to have a full Thanksgiving meal that they can prepare and enjoy at home during the holiday. We are looking for donations of frozen turkeys and bags with the ingredients to make all of the side dishes. For the turkeys we will take either frozen turkeys or the donation of money in order to purchase the turkeys in bulk. If you are donating frozen turkeys, we ask that they are delivered the morning of the distribution as we do not have freezer space to keep them. Checks going towards the purchase of turkeys can be made out to Emmaus House but please indicate they are for turkeys. We ask that all bags of sides be delivered to Emmaus House by November 17th. If other arrangements need to be made that may be possible. Each bag needs the following ingredients: 2 Cans of String Beans (English cut) 2 Cans of Corn 2 Cans of Peas 1 Can of Cranberry Sauce 1 Large Bag of Stuffing 1 Box of Brownie Mix 1 Bag of Rice (1 lb) 2 Boxes of Muffin Mix Please place all of the sides for each household into one brown paper bag, preferably with handles. If you need bags for your parishioners to fill please let me know and we can get them to you. Our actual distribution date for the Thanksgiving at Home program will be November 20 from 7 am 2 pm.
