John Loveless listed at Falmouth in 1770 census; shown as head of a family of 6, protestant and American; name does not appear in the Assesment Roll for Falmouth Then the rest of what I sent is as I found it in his book... except where I have mentioned... Abner Woodworth (John, Silas etc... ) he has... "A Genealogy and History of the Chute Family of America" by Wm E. Chute, p, ccliv, refers to Abner Woodworth as a "sturdy old farmer and a pious Presbyterian. and an NB at the end of the Loveless family which reads: Jack M Sanford of East Aurora, N.Y. reports that a John DeWolfe Lovelace was born at Horton, Kings Co., NS on 4 June 1808 and d 28 Dec family of 8 children... And through one of those births I got a maiden name for his wife Mary Jane. census:sons, Stephen b. abt 1860, and Caleb R. Bill b. 14 Oct 1858, Billtown. But the big THING I found here was the maiden name for Mary Jane--Brown. I wrote a couple days ago about Mary Jane's name and that she had been given both Mary and Jane as her first name by her children. She was Jane on Caleb's birth and also on the census.
