Mission: TO initiate, facilitate and coordinate ASEAN stakeholder collaboration in realising the purposes and principles of ASEAN as reflected in the ASEAN Charter. 18 Activity: WHO-EC Project on HPED 7 th AEGCD Meeting: Strengthening Surveillance and Response Capacity for Highly Pathogenic and Emerging and Zoonotic Diseases in Cross-Border Areas of ASEAN Region The proposed activities include: An assessment of existing cross border collaboration and recommend appropriate modalities for prevention and control of HPED in cross border areas; Develop mechanism and models Develop modalities to institutionalize border health authorities at local and national levels for regular exchange of disease surveillance information; Develop guidelines and SOPs
