6 Almost three years later, on January 25th 1924, 28 countries signed in Paris the International Agreement establishing the Office International des Epizooties (OIE) 6

7 Legal obligation for disease notification in animals The OIE was created in 1924 Legal obligation for all Member Countries to report to the OIE One of the main missions of the OIE is to ensure transparency of worldwide animal disease situation including zoonosis 7

10 World Animal Health Information System (WAHIS) Access to WAHIS allows users from Member Countries, namely Delegates or their nominees, to electronically submit notification reports: Immediate notifications Follow up reports Six monthly reports Monthly reports (since 2012) Annual reports Wild annual reports (since 2012) 10
