1 Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease Situation Update 24 February 215 Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease surveillance summary This surveillance summary includes information from countries where transmission of Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease (HFMD) occurs and case counts are routinely reported. Northern Hemisphere China The monthly trend of HFMD cases in China follows the seasonal pattern (Figure 1). However, it is slightly elevated compared to the number reported in the previous three years (Figure 2).
