3 Install Instructions: TDD Recognition Server (IR 2.0) Requirements 1. Operating System: Solaris 5.8, IR Version: AVAYA IR Platform: Sun-Blade-150, Sun-Fire V240, Sun-Fire 280R 4. Voice Card (T1): AG22 - Digital NMS(T1) (AG4000, AG4040) 5. Installation Media: o AVsproxy Speech Proxy Base Software o AVsrproxy Speech Proxy SR - Speech Recognition o tdd TTY Recognition Server WebLM Licenses: Advanced Speech Recognition 7. Drive Space o 1 MB Software Installation Load Base Interactive Response Packages & Licensing 1. Login to the AVAYA IR system as root 2. Verify that AVsproxy and AVsrproxy are loaded pkginfo AVsproxy pkginfo AVsrproxy NOTE: Refer to the Avaya Interactive Response, Release 2.0, Installation, Migration, and Troubleshooting Guide for instructions on how to load optional packages. It can be found under the Avaya IR System Help on the AVAYA IR web administration page under Print documents > Install and Troubleshooting Guide" 3. Check that WebLM licenses are available for Advanced Speech Recognition by running the following command from a root login on the AVAYA IR platform root)# licensequery Feature Lic Feature Type Value Name VALUE_IR_ASR_PORTS 24 Advanced Speech Recognition VALUE_IR_TTS_PORTS 0 Text To Speech(Speech Synthesis) VALUE_IR_PORTS 24 Digital and Voice Over IP VALUE_IR_SNMP 0 Simple Network Management Protocol NOTE: The WebLM license must have been loaded and the AVsproxy and AVsrproxy packages must be installed and configured before the license values will register. See the Verifying WebLM Feature Licenses section of this document to determine the number of licenses configured. To check configuration of the Speech Proxy see Configure Speech Proxy section in this document. NOTE: Value for VALUE_IR_ASR_PORTS must be greater than 0 for feature to function. Verify license counts in the Licensed column are correct for VALUE_IR_ASR_PORTS NOTE: The Acquired column will not show up until the feature is configured in the AVAYA Web Administration screens and the voice system has been restarted 5. Click Logout from left menu pane Configure Speech Proxy NOTE: If configuring on an IR or IR 1.3, see Installation Instructions TDD 1.3 (IR 1.2.1) or Installation Instructions TDD 1.3 (IR 1.3) respectively 1. Check to see if package is already loaded pkginfo l tdd NOTE: If the package is not loaded you will get an error. If you get an error load the TDD Recognition Server package (See Appendix A) 2. Verify the dip processes came up correctly by running the following: ps -ef egrep tdd proxy Should see entries for the following processes: a. /vs/bin/vrs/srproxy b. /vs/bin/vrs/tdd 3. 22 sproxyadm d r OPSR8 NOTE: See Appendix B for sample output The proxy ports should automatically change from FOOS to INSERV. If the port states are FOOS wait for 60 seconds and run the command again. You may also run the following command to force them in to service: sproxyadm d r OPSR8 c INSERV NOTE: If the problem persists see Troubleshooting section Testing the TDD package 1. Create a custom TDD application using AVAYA IR Designer 5.2 (or higher) NOTE: See Using NLSR external functions in an IVR Designer application in on-line help on your AVAYA IR Platform web administration for more information. 2. Assign the custom TDD application to a channel(s). 3. Make test calls with a TTY signaling device to the channel(s) a. Start a channel trace trace chan X > /tmp/tr b. Make calls from a TTY signaling device c. Stop the trace ( [Delete] key ) d. Look for occurrences of the proxy status code return values egrep RECOG NORECOG SILENCE ERROR /tmp/tr or egrep "tddtst: STEP: -2 VALUE" /tmp/tr e. RECOG is what you want to see. See the Proxy Speech Status Codes table below for explanation of status codes. NOTE: If problems are encountered see Troubleshooting section Proxy Speech Status Codes Status RECOG NORECOG SILENCE ERROR Description Characters recognized and available. No recognition.
