1 Vide Cnference Trubleshting Tpics Hearing an Ech Cannt Hear Sund Others Can't Hear Yu Webcam Prblem Pr Vide Quality Hearing an Ech Mst frequent Cause: The speaker device and the micrphne are t clse tgether. Slutin: Mve the speaker and micrphne farther apart and/r use a speakerphne with an 'ech-cancellatin' feature. What causes an ech? Persn hearing an ech is hearing their wn vice being sent back t them thrugh the micrphne at the ther end. If yu can hear the ech, it is nt caused by yu. Other slutins t try: Use recmmended equipment. Use a headset (built-in separatin f speaker and micrphne). If using a speakerphne, use ne with an ech-cancellatin feature. Set micrphne cnfiguratin within Vidy. G t cnfiguratin (the gear icn), select the Devices tab. Make sure that bth Ech Cancellatin and Aut Adjust Micrphne Level are checked: If using external speakers lwer the vlume as much as pssible. Separate the micrphne and the speakers by a minimum f 8 inches. Chse a quiet place t make r receive yur call.

2 Ech-cancellatin is affected by backgrund nise the less nise the better it wrks. Cannt Hear Sund Test the sund n yur system t help identify if it is yur speaker r the ther persn's micrphne causing the issue. With Micrsft Windws, pen the "Sund" applicatin (in Cntrl Panel). Select yur speakers/headphnes, then right-click fr a menu, then click Test. If the sund test passed but yu still cannt hear sund, skip t "Check the Vidy Telecnference cnfiguratin" Did the sund test fail? Try this: Check yur cmputer vlume cntrls Nt muted Set t prper vlume If using external speakers, check that they are: plugged in t the crrect scket Pwered n Set t prper vlume Check the Vidy Telecnference cnfiguratin: Within Vidy telecnference windw, check vide sftware sund cntrl: Nt muted Set t prper vlume

3 Within Vidy telecnference cnfiguratin (the gear icn), check that the crrect speakers are selected, as there may be mre than ne speaker device listed. Others Can't Hear Yu Test yur micrphne (if it wrks, the prblem culd be the ther caller's speakers). With Micrsft Windws, pen the "Sund" applicatin (in Cntrl Panel). Click the "Recrding" tab. Select yur micrphne device, then begin speaking. Yu shuld see the bar get taller when yu speak: If the test failed, check: Micrphne is plugged int the crrect scket.

4 Yu are nt muted: Micrphne vlume is set (In Windws Cntrl Panel/Sund/Recrding (select yur micrphne)/prperties/levels) Vidy cnfiguratin (gear icn) has the crrect micrphne selected:
