Students commented that they did not believe that a deaf-blind person could ever learn to communicate with others. Students felt strongly that a child with multiple disabilities could be loved by his/her mother, but not by his/ father. Students drew pictures depicting their favorite part of the Miracle Worker. 4. If you were to implement this learning experience again, what would you change?

2 I will arrange to have my students meet deaf-blind students from another school so that they will get a chance to communicate with them. I would provide more information on Alexander Graham Bell for the students.

Then as a written assessment students viewed the PowerPoint slide of the group photo. They were asked to identify the people in the photo and explain their relationship to each other. They were also asked to predict when and why this picture was taken.
