3 Proven strengths, innovative features: the SiOCX TF portfolio The SiOCX TF product range is growing: In addition to our complete socket systems and systems for combination with liners, inner sockets such as the new SiOCX TF Basic can also be ordered individually. By combining innovative materials such as HTV silicone, carbon prepreg and flexible Dyneema woven fabric, SiOCX TF prosthetic sockets ensure optimal bedding of the residual limb as well as optimal control of the prosthesis. The result is the greatest possible freedom of movement plus outstanding functionality and stability. The ability to sit comfortably, optimum adhesion in the prosthetic socket and effective protection for sensitive areas of the residual limb can significantly increase your patients' everyday quality of life. This gives you even more options to better meet the individual needs of your customers. The socket is the link between a prosthesis user and his or her device. That s why the demands placed on it are so high: one the one hand it must be especially stable, and on the other hand it has to be comfortable while walking, standing up and sitting down. The SiOCX TF prosthetic sockets were developed based on these requirements.

4 A strong complete system: the SiOCX TF and TF Pro complete sockets Noticeably more freedom The SiOCX TF complete sockets are designed for maximum freedom of movement and functionality. The residual limb can change shape when the patient is sitting thanks to flexible dorsal sections. This makes sitting more comfortable, even on hard surfaces and over extended periods of time. Waterproof With the appropriate component selection, all SiOCX sockets are suitable for use in waterproof prostheses. Especially strong, especially stable Here s an upgrade that gives your patients extra value they can feel: Instead of the aluminium used previously, the SiOCX TF attachment block is made out of carbon prepreg and thus consists of the same material as the outer socket. The advantage is that the attachment block and the outer socket now have the same expansion properties in the fabrication process. This leads to a particularly stable fit of shape and material. 5 Impressive functionality The inner socket is securely connected to the stable carbon prepreg outer socket with several screws. This improves its handling characteristics and gives your patients significantly greater security in any situation. Its high capacity and reliability are also reinforced by the new carbon prepreg socket attachment block. Easy to put on The special non-stick coating in the proximal area of the inner socket makes it easy for your patients to put on. The coating also feels good against the skin, especially when moving and sitting. Thanks to the excellent adhesion of the HTV silicone, the inner socket provides a very secure hold at the distal end. 6 SiOCX TF SiOCX TF Pro Enhanced comfort The option of combining HTV silicone and carbon prepreg together in a single socket increases wearer comfort: The use of integrated pads (not available with the SiOCX TF Basic inner socket) also provides real protection for sensitive areas of the residual limb. The soft edge of the socket also increases the range of motion for the residual limb, making it easier to master everyday challenges. The SiOCX TF sockets are suitable for users at all activity levels who value functionality, comfort and hygiene. 7 Fits like a second skin: the SiOCX TF Pro socket The outer socket of the SiOCX TF Pro is open. This offers patients greater flexibility and an improved sense of their surroundings. The outer socket has been reduced to only those structures that are absolutely necessary for guaranteeing support and guidance. In most cases, it is possible to contain the residual limb at the front and back with just the silicone inner socket. Since the socket is flexible, the patient can even feel objects, such as a set of keys, in the pocket of his or her trousers. Contact with other people can also be felt much better. This offers a real plus for your patients in terms of quality of life for example, the chance to really feel their child sitting on their lap again. In the front and rear of the socket, the stiff socket edge is replaced by a flexible but very strong Dyneema strap. In combination with the flexible inner socket, this also makes sitting more comfortable. At the same time, the system offers significantly more freedom of movement for the patient's muscles. 8 Hygienic, skin-friendly and secure: the SiOCX TF inner sockets All SiOCX TF inner sockets are made of medical grade silicone. This material reduces perspiration, is easy to clean with soap and water and can be sterilised. It is also hypoallergenic and especially skin-friendly. Thanks to their flexible silicone edges and optimised socket edge shape, SiOCX inner sockets allow your patient an especially high degree of mobility. Good adhesion on the residual limb and the stable connection between the outer and inner sockets allow for excellent prosthesis handling and give the user a sense of security at all times. And you have the option of designing and producing the outer socket yourself according to your own ideas and perfectly adjusted to the needs of your patient. SiOCX TF inner socket Our classic version, as also offered in the comprehensive package, comes standard with a prepreg clip and a perineum pad. You can integrate additional pads as needed. The number, size and mounting location of the additional pads can be freely selected. SiOCX TF Basic inner socket This new version offers nearly identical advantages in terms of comfort as the classic SiOCX TF inner socket, with a simpler technical design. The SiOCX TF Basic inner socket can only be combined with closed outer sockets. The outside has not been smoothed and pads cannot be integrated. 9 For use with liners: SiOCX TF Prox and Seal Both liner versions feature a flexible and dimensionally stable socket edge made of silicone that adapts to movement and also protects the liner against wear near the edge. The non-stick coating makes it easier to put on the prosthetic socket. There is also no need for the socket to be fully covered with silicone, since the liner makes the use of silicone in the lower socket area unnecessary. Both versions are truly lightweight thanks to this material savings. SiOCX TF Prox The SiOCX TF Prox does not have a sealing lip and is therefore perfect for various suspension systems such as shuttle locks and KISS pull-in systems. SiOCX TF Seal The SiOCX TF Seal is manufactured as one piece with an individual sealing lip, which is perfectly tailored to the individual socket type. 13 The ordering process at a glance When ordering please send the following depending on the requested SiOCX version: the completed order form and a plaster positive of a well-fitting check or definitive socket (or the well-fitting check or definitive socket itself) to Ottobock Service Fabrication. Please note that the socket should be worn until residual limb volume fluctuations are minimised. In the time between ordering and delivery of the definitive SiOCX socket, the user should wear a similarly fitting socket to minimise changes in residual limb shape and volume. Please label the plaster positive or socket with the following information depending on the desired version: the valve position position, size and thickness of the perineum pad and any additional padding the desired outer socket brim line the desired position of the sealing lip, or bottom edge for the SiOCX TF Seal and Prox. You will receive the definitive SiOCX socket after 7 to 15 workdays (depending on the desired version).
