1 FIBER SPLINT BY POLYDENTIA SA SWITZERLAND Overview Fiber Splint is the complete fiber glass product range developed by Polydentia SA which provides an aesthetic and non invasive alternative to metal retainers for: periodontally loosened teeth; surgical reimplantation; post traumatic mobility; reinforcing temporary bridges; post orthodontic retainers. Fiber Splint bands are extremely thin and flexible; they allow a non invasive application requiring minimum tooth preparation. The Fiber Splint product has been developed together with a Swiss dentist and has been marketed since Significant and long standing clinical experience support the Fiber Splint. In order to grant the dentist a faster and easier application, Polydentia SA has then conceived Fiber Splint Multi Layer consisting of six layers Fiber Splint sewn together, one over the other. This allows valuable chair time saving while the result is highly aesthetic and comfortable for the patient. Moreover, the product can be stored indefinitely without any special requirements for its conservation. Fiber Splint Multi Layer is also versatile, as it can be used with any kind of conventional bonding. The product family has been broadened with the introduction of F Splint Aid, the ready to use solution for emergency splinting of avulsed teeth. Suitable for 4 5 applications, this product is ideal for situations where urgent, unexpected treatment is required. The application is extremely fast: cut the desired length of already impregnated fiber glass band, place it on the etched and bonded palatal/lingual surfaces, hold it in position with the special application clips and light cure. No waste of bonding agent, optimal manageability and ease of use. The result is extremely aesthetical, resistant and comfortable for the patient. F Splint Aid has been selected for the Innovation Award during the ADF 2009 exhibition held in Paris, France. The product has been moreover tested and rated as very good by the prominent American Association The Dental Advisor receiving a 4 ½ plus rating and has been selected among the Top 100 products 2010 by the important American magazine Dentistry Today. 1

Conclusion Fiber Splint provides a comfortable and reliable solution for treatments involving splinting.

Conclusion Fiber Splint provides a comfortable and reliable solution for treatments involving splinting. The results are excellent from the aesthetical point of view and grant full comfort to the patients enhancing their self confidence. The technique as well as the preparation required is easy and time saving. The manageability is also optimal as no special scissors are required and the fiberband does not fray when cut. Fiber Splint offers therefore an easy to use, reliable, biocompatible and non invasive alternative to metal retainers. 5
