The course will cover the principle of Comprehensive Treatment Planning, Oral Surgery and Prosthodontic Concepts and Treatment Options with Dental Implants.The course is planned as a sequence of lectures, clinical demonstrations and extensive hands-on participation in diagnostic, surgical and prosthetic procedures. It includes the treatment of patients who are in need of high quality of dental healthcare. This Program is certified from: Program Designed according to the guidelines of: The Swiss International Academy for Osseo-Integration and Maxillo- Facial Research And according to the guidelines of the Swiss Society of Reconstructive Dentistry (SSRD) and the Swiss Society of Oral Implantology (SGI) and MAS programs (Master of Advanced Studies) of the University of Bern. 3 Aim of the Course This Program is organized to present a One week Professional Certificate in Dental Implants, the course contains a sequence of lectures, clinical demonstrations and extensive hands on participation in diagnostic, surgical and prosthetic procedures of dental implants. First Module of the course is planned to present an introduction about Dental Implant History and Ossteo-Integration, in depth the approach to treatment planning, diagnosis and surgical procedures for the placement of Endo-osseous Dental Implants. 5 Speakers C/V : Curriculum Vitae Prof. Dr. Regina. Mericske, Prof. R. Mericske received her undergraduate training in Dentistry and the PhD degree at the University of Bern. She was till June 2014 the director of the Department of Prosthodontics and of the Division of Continuing education and runs the Master Program in Prosthodontics and Implant dentistry. The students elected her teacher of the year. She was a Visiting Professor at the Dental School of Toronto and became a regular Guest Professor. She has lectured worldwide in 36 countries. She is a member of various national and international societies: honorary member of the Japanese Association of Implantology, past-president of the international College of Prosthodontists and European Prosthodontic association (ICP and EPA). Currently she is the president of the Swiss Society of Reconstructive Dentistry (SSRD). Her activities, both in clinical practice and clinical research, cover the field of oral implantology, prosthodontics, modern CAD CAM Technology and geriatric dentistry. These are represented in currently 147 publications, many abstracts and book chapters. During his graduate training a obtained the degree of general dentistry (WBA SSO), of a Specialist in Reconstructive Dentistry (SSRD SSO), Specialist in Implantology (WBA SGI) and a Masterdegree in Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry. As an Assistent Profesor he was involved in teaching activities for the undergraduate students and lectured regularly at avrious meetings and courses in his country and abroad. Currently he holds a position as Senior Lecturer and researcher at the University of Geneva. He has published various articles with the focus on Implantology.
