6 Online Tools for Dentists Speed eclaim Dentists can submit claims electronically to United Concordia free of charge, using Speed eclaim. It helps dental offices move faster, without costing a cent and offers the following: FREE electronic claim submission Faster processing for faster payment Real-time explanation of benefits Instant online editing and resubmission Reduced telephone calls, faxes, stamps and paperwork Speed eclaim is available to all dentists, regardless of network participation. Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Claim payments can be sent directly to a bank account with EFT. With this tool, dental offices: Get their money faster because payments post to bank accounts even if the office is closed Don t have to worry about lost checks Save time due to fewer administrative items and no waiting in line to deposit checks UnitedConcordia.com 6

7 Speed eclaim and EFT Overview ELECTRONIC CLAIM SUBMISSION By sending claims electronically, you benefit from smoother claims processing; higher office productivity; faster payments; reduced paper, ink and postage costs; and a greener future. There are two different ways to submit electronic claims to United Concordia Dental using United Concordia s Speed eclaim or through a clearinghouse or vendor. With Speed eclaim, you benefit from: FREE electronic claim submission to United Concordia via the internet. Real-time explanation of benefits. Instant online editing & resubmission. Reduced telephone calls, faxes, stamps & paperwork. Speed eclaim : Sign in via the Dentist portal at UnitedConcordia.com. Click Submit New Claim through Speed eclaim and fill out all required information. Clearinghouse or Vendor: Contact your Clearinghouse or Vendor to get details on how to send electronic claims to United Concordia. ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER (EFT) Electronic funds Transfer (EFT) is an automated method of issuing payments, also known as Direct Deposit. Funds are transferred from United Concordia s bank account directly to your bank account rather than issuing checks for services rendered to United Concordia members. Enjoy the benefits of EFT: Avoid trips to the bank for deposits. Worry less EFT is safer than paper; there s no lost or stolen checks. Have funds automatically deposited into your bank account, even when you are out of town. To enroll in EFT: Sign in via the Dentist Portal on UnitedConcordia.com. Click Electronic Funds Transfer. Select Step 1 Request PIN and a message will be displayed that your Personal Identification Number (PIN) is being sent to your practice s mailing address. The PIN will arrive within 7 to 10 days from the date of the request. When you receive your PIN, login once again and enter your PIN and banking information to activate EFT. Call Dental Electronic Services with questions at (800) Registered users will have access to all of the online services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
