3 Save valuable chairside time with ExpertEase : Incorporation of the immediate restoration directly after the implant surgery If you implant computer- and template-guided using ANKYLOS ExpertEase, you can now cut down your outlay and the time spent at chairside. With the ExpertEase drilling guide and the new Positioning Aid GS is becomes possible to fabricate a master plaster cast, on which a high esthetic (long-term) temporary restoration can be finalized before the surgical procedure even in complex cases. Using ANKYLOS and the SynCone Concept, you have the additional option of rehabilitating your patient intraoperatively with a final prosthesis. The dental technician can integrate a metal reinforcement in the SynCone prior to the surgery. So, your patients can be provided for in just a few minutes after the implantation! Only when using computer-guided surgery with ANKYLOS ExpertEase is it now possible to fabricate the prosthetic restoration on ANKYLOS implants prior to the procedure and to incorporate this directly after the operation without delay. You use the drill guide multifunctionally, not only as a drilling aid, but also for plaster cast fabrication together with the Positioning Aid GS for mucosa- and toothsupported cases. 4 The Restoration: For mucosa- and tooth-supported cases with the XiVE Positioning Aid GS A plaster cast is necessary for the fabrication of the prosthetic restoration. Using ExpertEase, an immediate restoration can be prepared before the actual implantation based on the planning data. Preparation: Position the ExpertEase drill guide on the plaster cast, check for an exact fit and, if necessary, remove any faults, imperfections, etc. on the cast. Once the ExpertEase drill guide is seated precisely on the cast, place a silicone overcast over guide and plaster cast section in the region of the implants. Then, mark the designated position of the implant analogs on the plaster cast through the sleeves using a pencil. Afterwards, using a plaster milling tool, remove the plaster at the pencil markings sufficiently from the lateral / buccal surfaces such that there is sufficient space for the implant analog. 1 Screw the positioning aid loosely into the implant analog without spreading it.

5 2 Then insert the joined components into the respective sleeve of the template. The positioning aid must be seated in the template, completely up to the stop collar. Do not push the retaining screw too forcefully into the positioning aid, as this will spread and will no longer be able to be positioned in the sleeve correctly. If necessary, lift the retaining screw; pincers or a similar instrument might have to be used. 3 The groove of the positioning aid must be aligned with the tips of the template sleeve hexagon for a reproducible orientation of the index of the implant analog. 4 Tighten the screw firmly by hand. As a result, the positioning aid is spread and is securely fixed in its position in the ExpertEase drill guide.

6 5 Replace the ExpertEase drill guide with the positioning aids and the screwed implant analogs on the plaster cast and check that there is no contact between the components and the cast. If necessary, rework the plaster cast in order to guarantee a tension-free fit. 6 Block any possible gaps between the positioning aid and the template sleeve with wax or similar, in order to prevent the incursion of any plaster. Then fill the space initially created in the cast with plaster, in order to fix the implant analogs precisely. The initially fabricated silicone overcast will help to reconstruct the previous model form and mucosal contouring. 7 Carefully remove the screws after the plaster has hardened. A 0.9 or 1.0 mm hexagonal screwdriver can be used for this. The introduction of a mucosal mask around the implant shoulder is recommended. As a result, a plaster cast is created, which makes the elaboration of the later tooth replacement for very deeply positioned implants considerably easier. For both indications last steps: With the aid of the master casts fabricated using these two methods, the laboratory can produce the prosthetic restoration prior to surgery as accurately as the dentist has designed it.
