The radiused hook Integral convertible cap is designed for both comfort and practical function, just as the tubes are contoured for patient comfort. Many First Molar Tubes are also available with a jumbo base option which provides 3% more bonding area when required. Convertible tubes have a metal-injection-molded convertible cap for consistent, reliable conversion. They provide ample space under the tie wings for effective ligature tying. Nonconvertible tubes have a smooth rounded hook, and contoured design, assuring greater patient comfort. Seating and gripping notches, distal notches and an epanded mesial funnel entry make placement, ligation and archwire insertions easier.
