This course provides with the necessary training on the various laboratory steps involved in the fabrication of resin-bonded bridge, porcelain laminate veneer, porcelain inlays/onlays, and all ceramic crowns. Identify the students on the current free metal ceramics systems available. Theoretical background which includes explanations to technical and clinical aspects of free metal ceramic restorations. 3 There will be a weekly lecture for one hour and one weekly lab for six hours during which a demonstration will be given for 30 minutes followed by individual supervised lab sessions. Each student is expected to fabricate one inceram crown, one inlay,one onlay and one impress crown Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to Related Objective(s) 1 Understand the principles of all ceramic restorations 1,2 familiar with the different techniques used in the fabrication of all ceramic restorations 1,2 Differentiate between the Computer Aided systems and conventional systems in the fabrication of all ceramic restorations 2,3 understand and be able to work with the new techniques in shade matching such as digital shade matching etc. 3 able to complete all ceramic restorations such as porcelain Laminate Veneers, onlays, inlays, Inceram crown and Empress crown Reference(s) Text Book III Useful Resources Website: http\\

6 Additional Notes Student is expected to attend 90% of the lectures and lab sessions and JUST policy requires the faculty member to assign ZERO grade (35) if a student misses 10% of the classes without an excuse Sign in sheet will be distributed at the beginning of the lecture Questions are welcome during lecture Making any kind of disturption and (side-talks) will effect you negatively Cheating during exam will result in dismissal from the exam hall and the student will be penalized according to JUST regulations
