2 Welcome to WAVE WAVE (Wellness, Applied Research and Visionary Education) is an on-site group of clinics where students from George Brown College s Health Sciences programs provide health and wellness services including dental, hearing and fitness assessments, under the supervision of faculty. Located in a state-ofthe-art, eco-friendly building on Toronto s waterfront, WAVE offers a wide range of economical services for clients of all ages.

The services offered support the learning goals of WAVE Fitness and Health Promotion students and are supervised by program staff. George Brown College invites students, staff and members of the community to participate. No Charge PLEASE NOTE: The mandate of the WAVE Clinics is to support specific course outcomes and student learning experiences. WAVE clients are reviewed and accepted on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to refuse treatment to any client who does not provide an appropriate student learning opportunity. We require clients who do not speak English to bring a friend or family member to each appointment to translate information.

8 WAVE Health Promotion George Brown College invites partners and like-minded organizations to collaborate, research and discuss health and wellness issues with our students. Through this platform, our partners and students will research critical issues including child obesity, nutrition and food literacy, disease prevention and more. SERVICES: Students from a variety of programs will deliver workshops on topics such as healthy eating, how to quit smoking, heart health, diabetes prevention and management, and more. Community groups, schools and local businesses are invited to participate.
