11 Before using bracket height gauge, rub the lead pencil over the bracket slot gauge. This will leave a graphite mark when you place it against the tooth. Also, mark the model at what millimeter height the bracket will be placed and transfer these numbers to the patient s chart so if you have a bond failure, you will know at what height to place it. 11
