Alex Fleury, DDS, MS Dr. Alex Fleury received his Masters of Science Degree in Oral Biology and Cerficate in Endodontics from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

6 Alex Fleury, DDS, MS Dr. Alex Fleury received his Masters of Science Degree in Oral Biology and Cerficate in Endodontics from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He received his DDS Degree in 1984 from the University of São Paulo. Dr. Fleury served as Director of Predoctoral Endodontics for 6 years at both Nova Southeastern University School of Dental Medicine in Florida and Baylor College of Dentistry. He currently serves as Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Dentistry, working with Endodontic Residents. Of particular pride is being named the recipient of the Edward E. Osetek Award for best new Endodontic Educator of the year by the American Association of Endodontists. In addition, Dr. Fleury is honored to have been the recipient of the Richard F. Weiss Achievement Award presented by the Louis I. Grossman Study Club (University of Pennsylvania). He also served on the Scientific Advisory Board of the Journal of Endodontics, and as well serves as the Director of Educational Resources for Real World Endodontics. Dr. Fleury is currently in the full-time private practice of Endodontics in Dallas, Texas. The Endo-Restorative Continuum This presentation will concentrate on two areas. 1) How to perform Endodontics in a predictable, reproducible manner, and 2) How to do root canal therapy in such a manner that you actually enhance the long-term prognosis of the tooth. The goal of this program is to have dentists learn how to perform endodontics in such a way that they can offer their patients a long-term natural dentition option as an alternative to implants. Included in the lecture component will be a thorough discussion concerning access, non-surgical ultrasonic use, rotary file design, instrumentation techniques, and various obturation options. Particular emphasis will be placed on developing endodontic synchronicity between a machined preparation and a laser verified primary or single cone. Additionally, various techniques will be discussed that will facilitate the restoration of the endodontically treated tooth. During this lecture: 1. How to perform minimally invasive endodontics - the.04 preparation. 2. The benefits of developing "endodontic synchronicity". 3. The advantages of new bioceramic technology in endodontics.
