Arbit, DMD, MS, is a board-certified orthodontist in private practice in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Arbit received his dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and a master s degree in orthodontics from the University of Michigan. He has served as the president of the Wisconsin Society of Orthodontists and the Wisconsin Society of Dentistry for Children. Dr. Arbit currently serves as Director to the Midwest Society of Orthodontics. He has lectured on TMD and varied orthodontic topics. Roger G. Ettel, DDS, MS, Clinical Associate Professor, Division of Periodontology, Department of Developmental and Surgical Sciences, School of Dentistry, University of Minnesota; consulting faculty, Hennepin County Medical Center. Dr. Ettel is currently in full-time practice limited to periodontology in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. James Miller, DDS, MS, board certified (ABO) orthodontist, Advances in Orthodontics, Golden Valley, MN; Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor, Division of Orthodontics, University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Miller founded the Faculty Practice at the University of Minnesota in 2006 which is a critical access provider clinic to an underserved patient population. He has given over 60 invited lecture presentations locally, regionally, and nationally and has authored original research in orthodontics, dentistry, social sciences, microbiology, and bone biology. Paul S. Olin, DDS, MS, Associate Professor, Division of Prosthodontics; Interim Chair, Department of Restorative Sciences; Director, Dental Implant Program; University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Olin maintains an active prosthodontic and esthetic dentistry practice in the faculty practice at the School of Dentistry. Dr. Olin is the Director of Postgraduate Programs in Contemporary Restorative & Esthetic Dentistry Levels I-III at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.

5 Program, Page 5 W. Peter Nordland, DMD, MS, Associate Professor of Periodontics, Loma Linda University; President and Co-founder of the International Society of Periodontal Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Nordland has developed this subspecialty and is considered an expert in the field of Oral Plastic Surgery. He has introduced many new surgical procedures and has developed his own microsurgical instrumentation. Dr. Nordland is also the Director of the Oral Microsurgical Residency Program at the Newport Coast Oral-Facial Institute. He has presented over 300 professional papers and lectures internationally. In addition, Dr. Nordland has authored or coauthored four textbooks, written chapters as well as several journal publications on Periodontal Plastic Surgery. Dr. Nordland is on the editorial review board for the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry and the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is in private practice limited to Periodontology in La Jolla, California. Gerald S. Samson, DDS, Diplomate, American Board of Orthodontics and Fellow, American College of Dentists. Dr. Samson completed his pediatric dental residency at Emory University in 1979, and his orthodontic residency at Northwestern University in He has been in private orthodontic practice since that time. Dr. Samson holds formal appointments at seven universities in the United States and has been the featured speaker at numerous domestic and international meetings. In addition, he reviews scientific articles for The Angle Orthodontist on the subject of orthodontic mechanics.
