2 Comprehensive workshop on Dental sleep medicine Course fee: 3,000 INR Dental sleep medicine in India is still at its infancy despite there being an increasing need and scope for its practice. The course is designed to educate students and practitioners on pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment options in dental sleep medicine. With internationally renowned speakers, Drs. B Jayan and Abijeeth Kadu, the hands on workshop will grant the expertise needed to successfully provide patient care and expand their dental practice. Dr Balakrishnan Jayan, a graduate of Government Dental College, was commissioned in Army Dental Corps in April He did his MDS in Orthodontics from the Armed Forces Medical College; Pune in 1998 and is the first dental professional in India to be awarded Hon Fellowship in Sleep Medicine by the Indian Sleep disorders society. He has completed a fellowship program in Clinical Research and has done a Senior Defence Management course from College of Defence Management, Secunderabad. He has many accolades to his name- IOS research award (2009), Chief of Army Staff commendation (2007, 14), Vice Chief of Army Staff commendation (2007 & 08) and Army Commanders commendation (2000, 08 & 11). He is a post graduate teacher of MUHS and Delhi University for Orthodontics. He has been associated with 12 Research projects, all pertaining to Upper airway and has numerous presentations in various National and international conferences. He is well published and has contributed to chapters in various popular international Orthodontic and sleep medicine books. Currently he holds the appointment of Commandant Air Force Institute of Dental sciences and Dental Advisor (IAF). Dr Abhijeet Kadu is a part of the Army Dental Corps as a graded specialist in orthodontists, currently posted in Jodhpur. He has honour of representing the Indian Army in the United Nations as a part of the UN Peace keeping Mission in Lebanon. He completed his BDS in 2002 and MDS in Orthodontics from the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, both for which he secured the first rank in the university. He has publications in various national and international journals and is a post graduate teacher at Delhi University with special interest in Dental Sleep Medicine, craniofacial morphology & its connection to orthodontic problems, Cleft and surgical orthodontics

He is currently the Professor & Head of Paediatric dentistry at School of Dental Sciences, Sharda University, New Delhi. He is a founder member of the first center for evidence-based dentistry in India and has numerous publications to his name, while also being a reviewer of scientific journals. In addition to being a practicing clinician and a teacher he has also worked as the head of professional services for 3M ESPE, India and was a pioneer dentist to work in the corporate world. He has conducted numerous workshops/guest lectures nationally and internationally. 4 Oro-facial pain: The enigma & solutions Course fee: 3000 INR Being led by Prof Dr Achint Garg, this program is specifically designed for the dentist who wishes to gain a scientific background and additional clinical training in the diagnosis and management of patients with oro-facial pain. It involves understanding the basic principles of diagnosis and management of pain and dysfunction associated with the hard and soft tissues of the head, face, neck, and all the intraoral structures. Within the diagnostic range are headaches, musculoskeletal, neurogenic, psychogenic pains and temporomandibular disorders. Prof Dr Achint Garg, after his Bachelors in Dental Surgery, pursued his Masters in Oral medicine and Radiology at the Eastman Dental Institute for Oral health care sciences, University College London and FDSRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons, London. He is a Fellow of International College of Dentists, USA and completed his PhD from Griffith University, Australia. He is currently the Professor and Head of Oral Medicine and Radiology at Manav Rachna Dental College, Faridabad. He is also a senior consultant in Head and Neck Oncology at Max Hospitals New Delhi and Oral Cdx, India.
