1 KIDNEY & PANCREAS TRANSPLANT OUTCOMES 201 Vanderbilt Transplant Center James George, kidney transplant patient
2 A HISTORY OF EXCELLENCE anderbilt s transplant services have a long history of excellence. V For more than 50 years, beginning with our first transplant in 1962, we have helped restore more than 7,000 people to health. Vanderbilt currently offers vibrant programs in liver, kidney, pancreas, heart, lung and bone marrow transplantation, as well as dual-organ transplantation for patients with multi-system dysfunction. Quality drives everything we do. We are proud of our outstanding results and recognition as a center of distinction and excellence by national health care organizations. We dedicate significant resources to program-wide initiatives that ensure the very best outcome for every patient who places trust in us. Our approach recognizes the entire transplant process: We have specialists dedicated to education, social and psychological support, medication and helping patients return to a full and productive life after their transplant. We are fortunate to be part of Vanderbilt, a world-class research institution. This allows our patients access to clinical trials, supporting robust research programs that improve care for all transplant patients.
