1 Prof. Dr. Sehnaz Karadeniz An ophthalmologist, Dr. Karadeniz has been actively involved in the field of diabetes for the past 20 years in a series of medical, scientific and social projects both at national and international levels. She was the Consultant Ophthalmologist of the Diabetes Div. of Istanbul Medical Faculty of the Istanbul University between the years , of the Diabetes and Metabolism Research and Appl. Unit of the Institute for Experimental Medicine between the years , and a Faculty Member at the Ophthalmology Dept. of Medical Faculty of Istanbul Science University between the years Currently she is a Teaching Faculty at the Ophthalmology Dept. of Medical Faculty of Istanbul Science University and also working as an ophthalmologist at the Ophthalmology Dept. of the Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital. She is the Founding Member and Member of the Board of Trustees of the Turkish Diabetes Foundation (TURKDIAB). 2 Associate Professor Alice Pik Shan Kong Dr Alice Pik Shan Kong is Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Honorary Associate Consultant at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong. Dr. Kong graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and completed her training in General Medicine and Endocrinology at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Hong Kong. She had her overseas training as postdoctoral fellow at the Division of Endocrinology, Department of Medicine at University of California, San Diego, United States between 1998 and She became a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine in 2000, with accreditation in Advanced Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. She is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Dr. Kong is the Steering Committee Member of Joint Asia Diabetes Evaluation (JADE) program. She is the Vice President of Hong Kong Association for the Study of Obesity. Other professional association memberships include Hong Kong Society of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Reproduction and American Diabetes Association. Dr. Kong s research interests are obesity, insulin resistance and diabetes with particular focus on lifestyle factors including sleep and diet in adults and adolescents. She is an invited reviewer for many local and international journals, including Annals of Internal Medicine, Diabetes, Clinical Endocrinology, Diabetic Medicine, etc. She is an Associate Editor of Primary Care Diabetes and an editorial board member of Current Diabetes Reports and Clinical Diabetes and Endocrinology. She has presented at numerous local, regional and international meetings and has published over 180 articles in peerreviewed journals.

3 Associate Professor Aziz Nather MBBS (Sing), FRCS (Ed), FRCS (Glas), MD (Sing), FAMS (Sing) Senior Consultant, Division of Foot and Ankle Surgery Chairman of NUH Diabetic Foot Team Director of NUH Tissue Bank He received his Surgical Degree in 1978 from University of Edinburgh and University of Glasgow (FRCS Edin, FRCS Glas). He also obtained a Doctor of Medicine Degree in 1988 for his thesis Fracture healing and revascularisation of a large avascular segment of bone. 1. He is a Specialist in Bone Allograft Transplantation and is currently the Director of the NUH Tissue Bank He was the 2 nd Past President of the Asia Pacific Association of Surgical Tissue Banking from 2000 to He launched the IAEA/ NUS Diploma Training Course for Tissue Bank Operators in the Asia Pacific region in November He is also editor of IAEA NUS multi-media curriculum on Tissue Banking. He is also the Chairman of the NUH Multi-Disciplinary Diabetic Foot Team since May 2003 He is the Founding President of the Asia Pacific Association on Diabetic Limb Problems set up in Singapore in November He is currently the Honorary Secretary General of this association. Prof Nather ran the inaugural APCDLP Conference and also the 5th APCDLP and the 10th APCDLP Conference in Singapore.

4 He was appointed Chairman of the ASEAN Plus Expert Group Forum on the Management of Diabetic Foot Wounds from November 2012 to November In this capacity, together with the wound experts from member countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Sri Lanka, he produced the ASEAN Plus Guidelines on Management of Diabetic Foot Wounds in July Guidelines launched in Wound Care Summit 2015 on 18th to 19th April in Phuket, Thailand. He is also a corresponding member of the International Working Group on the Diabetic Foot of the International Diabetic Federation, The Netherlands, since He has been reappointed as Corresponding Member for the International Working Group on the Diabetic Foot of the International Diabetic Federation in 2015 (20th 23rd May) He is appointed IWGDF Country Representative for Singapore from 2015 till present. He is appointed Chairman of URGO Asia Pacific Wound Expert Board in Sydney, April 2015 to April 2017 (Sydney, Diabetic Foot Conference) with member countries from Australia, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam to produce education materials for diabetic foot wounds for professionals and patients. He is a Specialist Diabetic Foot surgeon since May He has vast experience in the clinical work and research on diabetic foot.
