1 Report of UEG WAG TRAINING CAMP place : Tirrenia, Italy date: July 2017 Participation : 37 coaches 35 gymnasts 9 men and 28 women 22 girls 12 years old 6 coaches without gymnast 9 girls 11 years old 4 girls 10 years old from 22 countries : NOR,AUT, HUN, CZE, SWE, FRA, GBR, TUR,GER, RUS, CYP, ROU, GER,NED, BEL, ISR, ESP, TUR, POR, DEN, SVK, SUI, FIN, IRL, ITA, CRO Capacity of Tirrenia camp is limited, so 6 applicants from 4 countries could come only without the gymnasts. the team of the experts was great and together with very active coaches the atmosphere of the training was excellent. Thanks to participation of Donatella Sacchi, the president of WTC FIG, the coaches got the explanation of some parts of the Code of Points 2017 and had possibility to ask questions about COP. We thank a lot to the Italian federation for supplying additional air track floor, air pad, big block of mats, which helped to the experts a lot in their work with the gymnasts. further there are some details and photos from the camp.

We had a big honour and pleasure to have : Donatella Sacchi, ITA - President WTC /FIG, Larisa Polosina, RUS - choreographer Sergey Fedoseev, RUS -Vault expert Dieter Koch,GER - Bars expert Rodica Pintea Demetrescu, ITA Beam expert Nick Ruddock, GBR floor expert UEG Responsibles Orna Shai - WTC/UEG Camp Director and assistant of director Nadia Brivio, ITA Hana Liskarova WTC/UEG Bane Trickovic, ITA PROGRAMME of the TRAINING CAMP was already settled after many years experience like this : practical training choreography theoretical lectures leisure time There was a good balance between all these parts, gymnasts had every day very good training with experts and coaches, but also the leisure time on the beach

3 The daily programme of the PRACTICAL TRAINING was composed from : 20 minutes of WARMING UP on the music done by Rodica PHYSICAL PREPARATION In 40 minutes experts Nick, Sergey, Dieter showed different exercises for physical preparation, which must be an important part of the training in this age of the gymnasts. Overview of the TRAINING on the apparatus with work stations which were choosen for this year by our EXPERTS : on VAULT Sergey did basic work stations for preparation of : Yurchenko Vaults, Handspring Vaults and Tsukuhara Vaults on BARS with Dieter the work stations were for : clear hip circle pike sole circle and Stalders, then preparation for turns in handstand,

4 work stations for flight elements between bars on BEAM with Rodica gymnasts and coaches went through the special warm-up for the beam - flow movements with simple acro elements moves close and side to the beam. Basic work stations on beam were : direct acrobatic connections - 2 flic-flacs flic-flac + salto stretched step out free cartwheel + salto stretched step out round-off for dismount salto forward tuck, picked and also dance elements on FLOOR Nick s work stations based on fundamental backward and forward acrobatic elements started from roud-off, flic-flac, tempo salto, stretched salto

5 the trampoline and also new air track floor were used for the training of acro-elements At the end of the training coaches from different countries prepared 10 min FLEXIBILITY Gymnasts loves the CHOREOGRAPHY lecture with Larisa Using various rhythm of the music allowed her to teach gymnasts different dancing movements combined with small elements like pirouettes, hops and leaps. They learned basic preparation for leaps and jumps, Illusion pirouette and pirouette in tuck stand

6 In the evennings additionaly coaches had especial THEORETICAL LECTURES done by experts. All NEWS and CHANGES in the COP 2017 presented by Donatella Sacchi, president of WTC FIG PHYSICAL PREPARATION PRINCIPLES SPECIFIC ASPECTS of the TRAINING for JUNIORS ACROBATICS PREPARATION for JUNIORS presented by Nick Ruddock, GBR SOME FLIGHT ELEMENTS on UB Schapochnikova,Tarzan, Pak salto presented by Dieter Koch, GER LECTURE on VAULT focused on PHYSICAL PREPARATION for the legs, improvement of the running, especially developing the speed, Tsukahara and Kasamatsu vaults, preparation for Yurchenko vaults, TRAMPOLINE HELPS for TEACHING FLOOR ELEMENTS presented by Sergey Fedoseev, RUS COMPOSITION on FLOOR and BEAM, presented by Rodica Pintea Demetrescu, ITA BALET PREPARATION for COACHES presented by Larisa Polosina, RUS

7 LEISURE TIME during the CAMP The advantage of Tirrenia camp is the possibility to spend every day some leisure time on the beach. Gymnasts and coaches like this very much and it takes only couple of minutes by bus! As usual in this season the weather was very nice, temperature and water was agreable! As every year the organisors prepared whole day trip to Florence and visit Pisa and gymnasts and coaches had possibility to do some sightseeing of this beautiful part of Italy, so during the camp there was very nice combination of everything. Thanks to Nadia Brivio the travel arrangement to Florence was very pleasant to the participants. The conlusion of the camp for the gymnasts was the gymnast s show and banquet with especial Tirrenia cake GOOD LUCK and SEE you in TIRRENIA 2018!!
