2 Your good health is right at your fingertips even when you think your head is going to explode from those things called allergies! It takes a bit of time for your body to be that reactive. Spring has been emerging blue skies and balmy breezes, bright blossoming flowers, budding trees and emerald green grass. Then the symptoms start showing up and you remember that in no time flat you ll be experiencing fullblown allergies. Here come sinus congestion, stuffy drippy nose, sneezing, headaches, teary itchy eyes, plugged up ears and that crazy pounding head. The allergy season has hit you right between the eyes. And as you go through box after box of Kleenex, your search for relief might include over-the-counter capsules, sinus rinses and eye drops. And if things go south, a visit to the doctor s office gets you a prescription for antibiotics because you ended up with a sinus or ear infection. There is a happy ending to this story. The reason that allergies can create so much havoc is because a suppressed or depleted immune system will allow your body to react more easily to the allergens that are all around you. Build up your immune system and you increase the chances that your body can change its pattern and not react to the allergens. How? you say. Help your body experience balance and harmony by balancing your energy. It s pretty simple to create that foundation. Do the Daily Clean Your House Flow at least once a day. It s a ninestep acupressure flow that connects with energy balance areas that allow pathways of energy to flow and release accumulated blocked energy. Doing your energy work can even prevent the energy from getting stuck and creating physical projects* as the symptoms of allergies. As your body more consistently experiences energy balance, your immune system gets stronger. Get a head start on the allergy season! Use the energy tips on the following pages to prevent symptoms from starting or to get relief once they've appeared. It may take a bit of time to re-pattern your body, especially if you have been working with a long-term project. Stay with it and you'll get relief. * By the way, I use the word projects instead of problems because projects are fun to deal with and have a beginning and an end! You can make a difference and help your body be healthier and happier!
3 There's no such thing as too much self-help. Do the Daily Clean Your House Flow as often as you think of it throughout the day. Daily Clean Your House Flow Gently hold each position for several good breaths 1. Hold upper arms by folding arms across chest 2. Sit on both hands 3. Sit on left hand with right hand on left shoulder 4. Sit on right hand with left hand on right shoulder 5. Lightly place both hands on opposite inner thighs 6. Place both hands simultaneously at top of calves 7. Place fingers on left and right base of skull 8. Fold hands and relax 9. Jumper Cable (gently cup) each thumb and finger Get Rid of Worry Fast Worry Try To s Sadness Fear Anger
4 As the body experiences balance and harmony, you can relieve anxiety, let go of the pressure and stress, let go of the stuff (and the emotion) of the past that gets in your way of moving forward. And you will discover that you can increase your productivity and vitality. To open the breath and calm the whole system: Hold thumbs with opposite hands Hold index fingers with opposite hands Fold arms across chest and hold opposite upper arms To relieve respiratory distress, such as holding breath or coughing: Hold right base of rib cage with right fingers Hold right chest below clavicle with left fingers Switch and hold opposite sides To release jaw, mouth or throat tension, such as clenching or holding breath: Cup sternum directly below clavicle with right hand Place left fingertips in a vertical pattern below the navel
5 Keep on practicing these acupressure poses and you ll discover that you can achieve clarity and focus, relieve mind chatter, boost motivation and increase productivity. See yourself letting go of mental confusion, letting go of frustration and anger, getting over a bad day, and moving forward. To reduce mental confusion and congestion, procrastination, tired eyes, headaches and sinus congestion: Right side project Place left fingers along left side of neck Place right fingers along right side of center at top of head Move fingers just into hairline Then to forehead Then to inside of right eyebrow Then at right cheekbone close to nostril Then just below right clavicle close to sternum For left side project Switch hands To relieve forehead or eye tension and reduce mind chatter: Right side project Hold forehead with fingers on right side with left hand Cup left base of skull at back of head with right hand For left side project Switch hands
6 Your good health is right at your fingertips! Stress reduction, emotional balancing and wellness care are fundamental keys to having a full and healthy life in a world of pressures, tensions and traumas. All of these elements have a tendency to block the flow of energy in the pathways that flow through your body (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual). These pathways feed life into your whole body and allow you to be healthy, happy, strong and balanced. Placing your fingertips on designated energy balance areas can release the accumulated blocked energy, thus harmonizing and restoring the energy flow. Doing this will also allow you to move through and beyond physical projects, stuck emotions or old patterns that have a tendency to take you out of motion and inhibit movement forward. When the body re-experiences that sensation of balance and harmony, it will more easily and readily recognize when it is out of balance. When your body is spending more time being in balance, you will be more present, alert and aware of what is going on around you rather than being stuck in old emotional patterns. Further, bringing balance and harmony will create more vitality and productivity, increase the ability to focus, strengthen the immune system and help to relieve bothersome symptoms. Those who work to improve their well-being by moving blocked energy and maintaining harmony gain a true knowing of integrating body, mind and spirit. May joy, laughter and happiness come to you!
