Choose an eight-week period from the annual programme and develop eight weeks worth of weekly plans. Develop and deliver the individual session plans that support the whole of the chosen eight weeks. 13j Individual Session Evaluation After the delivery of each individual session, complete an evaluation of that session. 13k 13l Participant Evaluation Summary Coaching Programme Evaluation Complete participant evaluations to review progress against agreed targets within the action plan developed earlier. After the completion of the eight weeks of delivery, evaluate the success of this, along with how you felt about the completion of this task. Templates are provided to support the completion of this task in a paper-based format within this Pack and also available electronically on the disc enclosed with your Learner Pack. However, if you wish to use ones that you may be more familiar with, then please make sure these provide full coverage of the task criteria. If you require additional space, please use the notes pages provided within this Pack and clearly reference your work. 49 Product ref. L3CCSCQ 3.4b

This SWOT analysis should be supported with testing mechanisms used (eg bleep test results for endurance testing, interview for psychological needs profile, food diaries for nutritional analysis, video analysis). Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities Threats Product ref. L3CCSCQ 3.4b 52
7 Task 13c: Testing Mechanisms Evidence Place all evidence of measuring performance that contributed to the completion of the SWOT analysis in the table below. Evidence Number Evidence Description Product ref. L3CCSCQ 3.4b
8 Task 13d: Action Plan Based on the performance benchmarking and SWOT analysis carried out earlier, create an action plan. This action plan should identify a series of primary and secondary goals that have been agreed with your participant. It is important to be aware that these goals should be given a realistic timescale for achievement. Do not set your participant up to fail (consider SMART). Primary Objectives Secondary Objectives Review Dates and Mechanisms Short term: (define) Medium term: (define) Long term: (define) Product ref. L3CCSCQ 3.4b 54
9 Task 13e: Support of Others As a Level 3 coach, you are responsible for coordinating a larger coaching programme. 10 Task 13f: Annual Coaching Programme Using all information gathered earlier, now complete an outline annual coaching programme, known as a macrocycle. Within this macrocyle, you are required to identify key dates your participant will need to attend (this could include competition, training camps etc). This should then aid the process of outlining the different phases within the programme (general preparatory phase, specific preparatory phase, pre-competition phase, competition phase and transition phase). In addition to the identification of the above phases, you are required to demonstrate an understanding of using appropriate training volume (V) and intensity (I) to aid participants in achieving optimal performance. Month: Week/com: Camps and rep games: Phase: Mesocycle: Testing: Microcycle: Training Volume (bar chart): Training Intensity (line graph): Product ref. L3CCSCQ 3.4b 56
11 Task 13g: Phase Planning Progressing from the annual coaching programme, you are required to develop a more detailed phase planning overview for each identified phase (general preparatory phase, specific preparatory phase, pre-competition phase, competition phase and transition phase) and describe the purpose and aims of each. This should then develop blocks of 2 6-week mesocycles. Using the charts below, represent each phase of the coaching programme. Each chart may represent the individual phases within the overall coaching programme (illustrated below) or can be adapted to represent a specific area of training (eg strength [learner to develop]). General Preparation Phase (GPP) Training volume (bar chart): Training intensity (line graph): Week Describe the particular aims of the phase and each mesocycle within the phase: Specific Preparation Phase (SPP) Training volume (bar chart): Training intensity (line graph): Week Describe the particular aims of the phase and each mesocycle within the phase: 57 Product ref.
