NEWSLETTER WINBACK ACADEMY #2 - JULY 2017 NEWSLETTER #2 >SUMMER UPDATE L EDITO The Holiday Months are here..time for Sun,Sea and beach time During this period looking after yourself can benefit from a Physio-Aesthetics approach. Our Experts at WINBACK will show you how to help your clients slim down for the holiday season. The Programme : Return to full fitness, slim down & protect yourself from the Suns harmful effects. You ll also find updates on the latest scientific studies and the Photo of the month competition.

SCIENTIFIC UPADTE : WINBACK S LATEST CLINICAL NEWS. In the interest of furthering our clinical evidence base we are sharing with you the opportuinity to take part in our latest multi centre study This is a great way for you to deepen your knowledge of our technology. WINBACK we know works well after a total knee replacement(tkr). We are now studying using WINBACK on a frozen shoulder capsulitis, measuring range of motion in flexion, external rotation, and EVA. We will compare this against standard manipultaion without the use of WINBACK. OUR ONLY REQUEST IS THAT YOU ARE AN ACCREDITED WINBACK Expert Centre with clinical experience in treating shouldder capsulitis. CLIC HERE Just as a reminder please find below the study protocl we launched last month. We really need you to take part. CLIC HERE

WINBACK SPORT & FIT : BUILDING MUSCLE STRENGTH During this time we hear feedback that more and more of your clients are asking you for Aesthetic Treatmenst to improve body contouring. This increasing demand linking slimming & well being is a great way to expand your practice. Combining WINBACK with active exercise We offer a strengthening protocol working the abdominal and core muscle groups Strengthening the transversal core muscles brings a number of benefits Reduced low back pain Better breath control Inproved posture Strengthening of the pelvic floor muscles Now you can offer preventive, or even corrective results through the strengthening of the abdominal core muscles.

Why combine exercice with WINBACK? Winback energy accelerates the results and lets you reduce body fat fast and achieve visible results from the very first session Working athermically at less than 20% intensity, will allow you to relieve muscle fatigue by stimulating the chemoreceptors. Working Athermically will also help to significantly reduce inflammation and pain. How do I combine Winback and abdominal work? With TECAR 5.0 technology you can offer a hands-free treatment for your Patient. The RET energy is divided into two pathways and flows between the back plate and two fixed electrodes (bracelets or flex pads), all placed on the patient. How is the treatment done? Place the electrodes on the client Select RET mode Increase the intensity without exceeding 20% The patient is then treated for 15 to 20 minutes. In this example, we are showing how to build up the transversal muscle group This exercise can be undertaken daily. The weight of the viscera as well as the pressure on the diaphragm are lowered by lying down. The legs are folded to flatten the lumbar arch with the basin in retroversion which relaxes the ilio-psoas muscles which again helps to reduce the pressure on the abdomen. Starting position: Supine, knees bent, feet flat on the ground. Position the upper limbs on each side of the Body with the Palms towards the ceiling. Abdominals in retroversion with neck muscles relaxed.

Positioning of the electrodes: Electrode sets (Flex Pad) in lumbar position 2 Flex Pad along the costal Grill left and right on the diaphragm Undertaking the exercise: Expire to completely drain the air out of the lungs. The diaphragm was under the rib cage. Size is narrowed, it is the cross that is contracts. Go belly up. The transverse muscle is at the point of maximum contraction. Hold breath for long as possible. Start with a contraction Isometric twenty seconds if possible and then increase gradually. Perform the exercise for 10 to 15 minutes. For a flat stomach, and shaped abdominals, this exercise must be done daily and be part of a program combining ventral sheathing, lateral cladding and building the obliques. For an even faster result why not combine Winback and muscle stimulation! Combining these two technologies will provide optimal results! Now, you have all the elements you need to achieve great results! Let s do it! Muriel Bise experte Winback Motionfit & Intimity

CRYOBACK : CRYOLIPOLYSIS TECHNOLOGY 3 IN 1 It s time to reduce the fat we build up during the winter months. This excess fat is found in the subcutaneous fat. The subcutaneous fat is the main concentration of fat cells, spherical cells composed of large lipid vacuoles. This subcutaneous fat tissue is found In different places in men and women At the top of the stomach, neck and shoulders in in men and on the hips, thighs and buttocks in women. Fortunately, when targeting subcutaneous fat Cryotherapy works well. Adipocytes are more sensitive to cold compared to the cells in the surrounding tissues. Exposing adipocytes to temperatures of less than 5 C for 60 minutes causes a reduction of 30% in the fat layers. This effect is called Cryolipolysis. With Cryolipolysis, the fat cells are broken down by freezing and then dispersed via the lymphatic system. Cryoback combines 3 proven technologies : Aurore Chambaudu experte Cryoback

Stimulation of deep muscles helps to protect other tissues from the effects of Cryotherapy. Cryoback technology creates a rapid temperature change,-4 C to 40 C in 30 seconds. The Fat burning program, using this rapid change in temperature, creates a vasomotor cycle between the fat layer and the lymphatic system.

WINBACK BEAUTY : ANTI-AGEING With the beautiful days, the summer wardrobe is out! Tank tops, skirts and dresses are in fashion and necklines, arm, knees are on show. Areas that can expose the age of aging skin...not to mention the face It is important to remember that the Sun is the No. 1 enemy of ageing skin By zooming in on these areas, we find that the structure of the skin and the strength of the underlying Collagen are reduced. 4 areas are most effected : The epidermis can thicken and become rougher. The skin can lose its lustre. The dermo-epidermal junction flattens. Dermis-skin grip decreases. The epidermis Dermis Exchange reduces surface, epithelial cells suffer from beneath nutrition. The skin and its contours collapse. The Dermis undergoes a lot of changes. The power of synthesis of fibroblasts decreases of significantly. The collagen fibers are separated, they are scarce. The Dermis loses its mechanical properties. The skin lacks firmness and tone.

The good news is that Winback energy produces effects particularly interesting to improve the quality of the skin. At a temperature, higher than 40 there is a realignment of collagen fibers, a tightening effect and a visible skin firming. Fibroblasts are stimulated, cell metabolism is triggered and new collagen production regenerates the skin after. Collagen regenerates in a progressive and harmonious way. For best results, we recommend using the Multipolar handpieces 4.0 which allow you to work at 1 MHz, the most effective frequency to stimulate the superficial Dermis. The Treatment Protocol : Treatment duration: 1-2 times a week Protocol 6 to 12 sessions Neckline: 10-minute session Knees: 20-minute session Arms: 30-minute session Thighs: 40-minute session Patricia, Winback Beauty expert

PHOTO OF THE MONTH : ery interesting combination of suction cups and Winback energy as part of a NCB. The application of suction cups allows us to increase vascularity and strength This increase in resistance of the tissue happens between the 2 WINBACK electrodes the current is as attracted to suction cups. This arrangement allows you to target the chosen tissues accurately. Our thanks to Aurelian Constantin Chirita of the Winback Academy Romania for sharing. LATEST INNOVATION Presenting the new Flexible Winback return plate Its flexibility and conformability allows you to adapt it perfectly to any surface of the body.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Hello One of my patients has a bruise on the greater trochanter because of a bike accident 6 months ago. I wasn t quite sure what to do as a treatment Winback. He is still in pain (when sleeping and when walking) He was referred to me by a local Physician. Can you give me some advice? Thanks in advance The expert s answer: Hello, thank you very much for your question. We suggest the following approach using WINBACK: Use CET dynamic Superpulse to work in hyperthermia locally then RET Superpulse for the deeper tissues. To treat the bruising, we advise you to work in double RET by putting the adhesive return plates on the underside of the Hematoma (with 2 adhesive RET cables). Once in place, use 30% intensity. To breakdown the Hematoma use all the tools at your disposal LPG, suction cups, hook, scrapping tools. The increase in the pain felt in the first 24 / 48 hrs is a normal reaction when trying to breakdown a Hematoma but will soon return to normal levels. Submit your case to us at the following address: zaineb@winback.com
