2 Information vs. Transformation

3 P.E. Teachers are really personal trainers who specialize in youth fitness/ athletic development. We have a duty to positively impact the lives of ALL students, sedentary to superstar athlete. In this light we are very different from the average personal trainer at Globo Gym and sport coaches yet at the same time we all are related. I believe in teaching youth general athletic skills they can utilize to achieve/maintain a healthy life along with improve performance in a sport if they are involved in one. The bottom line is children need to enjoy moving, have successes, and gain general athletic abilities early in life to lay the foundation for a lifetime of healthy living. Nobody does things they are not good at or dislike doing.
