1 ADULT GROUP FITNESS Fall 2018 Aquafit (shallow and deep) This class has all the components of a fitness class, including cardio, muscle strengthening and endurance and stretching. This type of Aquafit class is ideal for cross training for fit individuals, but also for beginners who want an energetic exercise routine. Our aquafit classes take place on one side of the pool so both shallow and deep options are available to everyone who participates. Awesome Abs Whether you are looking for that flashy six-pack or a new way to strengthen your core, Awesome Abs will improve your stability and strength from the inside out! Our instructors will guide you through a 50 minute, multi-plane, dynamic workout that will be sure to getting you sweating and leaving you feeling wanting more. Boot Camp Ready to work hard, look and feel your best? Join our Boot Camp, a class consisting of cardio and weights to assist you in shaping your body! All levels welcome. Never the same class twice!! Cycling Cycle your way to health. A cardiovascular workout guiding you through various levels of intensity on the bike. Please bring a towel and a water bottle. Dance Fit Move and groove your way to a new fitter self. Dance Fit is an electric class that will mix music from all around the world Come dance, laugh and feel the good vibes with talented instructors. Guaranteed to be a good time!! Family Boot Camp Never has getting your sweat on been more fun! What better way to introduce your kids to fitness then to get in there and join them! Family boot camp will teach traditional exercise techniques but mix in some fun and games as well. All ages are welcome. FUN-ctional Fitness In partnership with VON Windsor-Essex, Fun-ctional Fitness class is geared to higher mobility seniors. Class that has 5 different components: warmup, cardio, cool down, strength/resistance, balance/flexibility. FUN is the main component! Group Active Activate your life in only 1 hour! Feeling fitter, stronger and more alive has never been more achievable or more enjoyable. Incorporating all elements of fitness, Group Active will increase your cardiovascular fitness, build your strength and improve balance and flexibility. With simple, athletic movements such as squats, lunges, presses and curls, Group Power is for all ages and fitness levels. Discover results, discover Group Power! HeartCare HeartCare is an education and fitness maintenance program for people at risk of or recovering from a cardiovascular incident. We provide weekly check-ins to set goals and track your progress for fitness and nutrition. Kickboxing Bootcamps on a whole new level! This class will mix traditional boot camp style movements with explosive striking exercises that will tighten your core and tone your body. These classes will be sure to work all your major muscle groups and increase your sense balance, speed and power. Open to all levels, our instructors will teach you the skills to become a fitter individual! OsteoFit For anyone who is interested in increasing bone density, becoming stronger, maintaining quality of life and preventing disease this class will cover your bases. Participants will be able to have their posture assessed and learn how to maintain and correct body positioning to continue to move well. Nutritional modifications will also be discussed. Participants will be able to check their posture. Learn about risk assessment for Osteoporosis, tips on how to sit, stand, stretch and work out with proper posture. Piloxing The Piloxing workouts are a fusion of boxing and standing Pilates principles. The combination of these disciplines as primary exercise components creates a sense of both physical and mental balance. This dynamic program moves through heart-pumping, powerful boxing combinations to sculpting and lengthening Pilates-influenced movement to 'let yourself GO' dance releases, and back around again. Never have you enjoyed sweating so much. SMART Parkinson s In partnership with VON Windsor-Essex, Parkinson s SMART Exercise Program combines aerobic conditioning, functional strengthening, mobility and balance exercises designed to meet the needs of people living with Parkinson s.

3 SMART Stroke Rehab In partnership with VON Windsor-Essex, an integral aspect of stroke rehabilitation, physical activity can greatly enhance movement, balance and coordination while also helping to prevent a future stroke. This exercise program provides physical, cognitive, and preventative education to reduce the risk of stroke and improve function in the daily living of stroke patients. Strong by Zumba In a one-hour class you will burn calories while toning arms, legs, abs and glutes. Plyometric or explosive moves like high knees, burpees, and jumping jacks are interchanged with isometric moves like lunges, squats, and kickboxing. STRONG by Zumba instructors change up the music and moves frequently to make sure you re always challenged to the max. TRX The TRX Suspension Trainer is the original workout system that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises. You're in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise - because you can simply adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance. By utilizing your own bodyweight, the TRX Suspension Trainer provides performance and functionality exercises. Yoga Techniques focus on postures, breathing and meditation. Participants will gain strength and flexibility, while teaching mind and body relaxation. Zumba Zumba is a fusion of high energy and motivating music with unique, Latin inspired moves and combos that allow you to dance the hour away! Fun and easy to do. 5 ADULT RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS Spring / Summer 2018 Pickleball Be active and have fun in this non-competitive environment. One of the fastest growing sports in the world - A paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced game for experienced players. Basketball* Come on out for our adult basketball league. All teams are coed recreational level and most importantly fun!) Leagues are open to those aged 13 years and older. Drop-ins welcome. Volleyball The second sport created at the YMCA! Come on out for our adult volleyball league. All teams are coed recreational level and most importantly fun! Leagues are open to those aged 13 years and older. Drop-ins welcome. Competitive Basketball All teams are coed competitive level, make sure to bring your "A" game! Adults can register as teams or individuals (individual registrants may be placed on a team or be combined to make a team) Leagues are open to those aged 16 years and older.
