20 AUA Guidelines on Management of Staghorn Calculi Recommendations Percutaneous nephrolithotomy should be the first treatment utilized for most patients If combination therapy is undertaken percutaneous nephroscopy should be the last procedure for most patients Shock wave lithotripsy monotherapy should not be used for most patients Open surgery should not be used for most patients 20

32 Objective A novel single use flexible ureteroscope, promises the optical characteristics and maneuverability of a non-disposable 4 th generation flexible ureteroscope. The single use flexible ureteroscope (LithoVue, Boston Scientific) was directly compared to contemporary flexible ureteroscopes, with regards to optics, ureteroscope deflection and irrigation flow.
