6 04 Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology One-stop Faints, Falls and Fits Clinic One-stop Faints, Falls and Fits Clinic Have your patients ever experienced unexplained dizziness, blackouts and falls? KIMS Hospital has designed a one-stop clinic that can help to diagnose their conditions, develop a treatment plan, bringing peace of mind to your patient. The clinic is led by consultant cardiologists and supported by specialist cardiac nurses and cardiac physiologists. The clinic offers an initial assessment, electrocardiogram (ECG) test and consultation with the cardiologist. Following this, an ultrasound of the heart can be carried out and an ECG device fitted. The small monitor is injected under the skin and can monitor the patient s heart for up to three years. All this can be carried out during one appointment at KIMS. If a device is fitted, it will be monitored by cardiac physiologists and cardiologists. Should further treatment be required as a result of the information recorded, your cardiologist will recommend a treatment plan. All costs can be discussed with your insurance company, or can be arranged as a self-pay package. One-stop clinic appointment, including assessment, ECG and consultation Heart ultrasound (echocardiogram), if necessary At this point the consultant will be able to make a recommendation for your treatment, which may include the fitting of the ECG device. Device fitting and monitoring - 4,500 (this includes device fitting, follow up consultation at six weeks and three years of monitoring Removal of device (if necessary) - 1,250
