Name of Journal: World Journal of Pharmaceutical Research, Volume 6, Issue 2, January 2017, Tectona grandis Linn.(T. grandislinn.) belonging to family- Verbenaceae is one of the most well-known timber plant in the world and is renowned for its, extreme durability, dimensional stability & it s hard nature. Medicinally, it has various pharmacological activities like antibacterial, antioxidant, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-pyretic, analgesic, anti-diuretic, hypoglycemic, anti-hyperlipedemic and antiulcer. T. grandis Linnalso has various phytoconstituents like Triterpenins, Lignins, Quinone, Steroids, Phenolic acids, carbohydrate, 2

3 tannins, alkaloids, saponins, proteins and flavonoids. So, it finds application in various infectious diseases. The goal of this review represents Phytochemical constituents and pharmacological activities of the T. grandis linn. Considering literature review it is suggested that herbal preparations containing extract of frontal leaves of Tectona grandis (TG) linn which is non-toxic, safe, and effective and improves patient compliance by the utilization of herbal extracts which would be highly acceptable CALIBRATION CURVE OF CEFADROXIL IN DIFFERENT SOLVENTS Choundikar M. Name of Journal: International Journal of Pharmaceutical Chemistry Research, Volume 5, Issue 04, 2016, In analytical chemistry, a calibration curve is a general method for determining the concentration of a substance in an unknown sample by comparing the unknown to a set of standard samples of known concentration. Chemical methods are developed to fit particular business, regulatory and research purposes. The objective of this research paper is to set out principles which should be followed when documenting methods of chemical testing. The calibration curve of Cefadroxil was plotted by using different solvents like distilled water, methanol, ethanol and dilute sodium hydroxide. The main of this study to formulate and evaluate colon targeted tablet by using various proportion of guar gum. Budesonide drug was selected for this research work.the budesonide which is used for treating colonic diseases. The tablet was formulated by using Guar gum, 3

4 Lactose Starch, Talc and Magnesium Stearate. The tablets were evaluated for thickness, hardness and friability and all this was found to be in within range. The in-vitro dissolution study was carried out by using different PH of phosphate buffer solution as 250 ml HCL buffer PH 1.2 for 2 hr., 250 ml phosphate buffer PH 6.8 for another 3hr.and finally250 ml PBS PH7.4 till the end of 12hr.The drug release of all the formulation was found to be within range of to 98.38%.tablet was capable to release drug at colon and protect the tablet from acidic PH FORMULATION AND EVALUTION OF SUSTAINED RELEASE TABLET OF LOSARTAN POTASSIUM IP AS A ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUG Mujawar N. The main objective behind the study Tablets are solid dosage forms containing medicinal substances with or without suitable diluents they are one of the most preferred form of medication both by pharmaceutical manufacturer as well as physicians and patients. They offer safe and convenient ways of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) administration with excellent physicochemical stability in comparison to some other dosage forms, and also provide means of accurate dosing. In the present study main goal is we made an develop a stable formulation of oral Sustained release losartan potassium tablets with optimum properties. To achieve this goal, various formulations of losartan potassium tablets were prepared and evaluated with respect to the so various quality parameters are considering while designing tablet as a solid dosage form. Name of Journal: Journal of Drug Delivery Research, Volume 5, Issue 3, 2016, Solid dispersion is one of these methods, which was most widely and successfully applied to improve the solubility, dissolution rates and consequently the bioavailability of poorly soluble drugs. The solid dispersions based on the concept that the drug is dispersed in an inert water-soluble carrier at solid state. Several water soluble carriers such as methyl cellulose, urea, lactose, citric acid, polyvinyl pyrrolidone and polyethylene glycols 4000 and 6000 are used as carriers for solid dispersion. Thus the solid dispersion technique can be successfully used for the improvement of dissolution of Lasoprazole. Various solvents, carrier materials, diluents, disintegrating agents, lubricants has been used for the preparation of solid dispersion of Lasoprazole. Lansoprazole by solid dispersion method using Mannitol, polyethylene glycol (PEG) 4000 and Polyethylene glycol 6000, ß cyclodextrin as carrier in 1:1,1:2,1:3,1:4 and 1:5 ratios. Solid dispersion of Lansoprazole was prepared by solvent evaporation method. In vitro release profiles of solid dispersions in phosphate buffer ph 6.8 were comparatively evaluated and also studied against pure Lansoprazole. Faster dissolution was exhibited by LPZ - Mannitol Solid dispersion containing 1:5 ratio.the prepared Solid dispersions were subjected for Assay, saturation solubility studies in distilled water and phosphate buffer ph 6.8.
