2 2018 Event Index Celebrate Independence Luncheon Pages 3-4 This empowering event raises awareness about the pervasive and far reaching effects of domestic violence in our community while honoring the courageous journey of survivors. Taking place June 19th, 2018, this special event attracts over 800 attendees and is the largest fundraiser hosted by DAIS each year. The Celebrate Independence Luncheon program features a powerful and educational keynote speaker and in addition, DAIS honors one individual who has shown immense strength and courage in her/his Dress for DAIS Fashion Show Page 5 The Dress for DAIS Fashion Show provides an opportunity to check out the latest fall fashions and support survivors of domestic violence in Dane County at a time of year when the demand for our services is at its peak. Taking place October 18th, 2018 in the Main Lobby of the Overture Center for the Arts, this unique event attracts over 350 attendees each year. The Dress for DAIS Fashion Show features over 100 local women as models styled by local Community Education Events Sponsor Page 6 In 2018, DAIS is offering the opportunity to be recognized as a Community Education Events Sponsor. DAIS works throughout the Dane County community to raise awareness about domestic violence and promote healthy relationships. Community Education events aim to educate the community about the issue of domestic violence and focus on a variety of interest areas. 6 Community Education Events In 2018, DAIS is offering the opportunity for businesses to be recognized as a Community Education Events Sponsor. DAIS works throughout the Dane County community to raise awareness about domestic violence and promote healthy relationships. Community Education events aim to educate the community about the issue of domestic violence through community education, training and outreach. DAIS community education events for this year will focus on the following topics: Domestic Violence in the Workplace, Teen Dating Violence Healthy Relationships in a Complicated World, Promoting Healthy Male Masculinity and Breaking Down Barriers for Domestic Community Education Events Sponsor: $10,000 A year s worth of recognition at Community Education events A table at the Celebrate Independence Luncheon 2018 with preferred seating Company Spotlight on sponsorship in the DAIS E-Newsletter (circulation of 4,300+) Logo with hyperlink prominently displayed on DAIS website with sponsorship profile Press release announcing sponsorship and mention in media coverage for the event Invitation to focus group or discussion on emerging topics in domestic violence Looking for other ways to get involved?
