2 Hello Fundraiser! Firstly, we would like to say a huge thank you for supporting us and raising funds to continue all of our hard work with the young people across Teesside. We have created this pack in order to support you along every step of the way. We bring together industry and education across Teesside to provide an insight into how businesses operate whilst developing skills and showcasing employment opportunities. Our aim is to improve learning and employment opportunities whilst raising aspirations for young people across the region through our unique work experience and industry-led skills programmes. Using the river as a connecting theme, we bring together industry and education to increase the awareness of port-related industries and the many career options available to local young people. 3 CAKE SALE To help you raise a bit of money, why not try a cake sale? Everyone loves cakes after all! No sale is complete without any of the classics brownies, cupcakes, cornflake cakes or why not go big with a Victoria sponge cake or even a pie?! Not everyone likes to bake but why not get friends, family or colleagues to help you? Use our poster to advertise the sale, and share the event on your social media. (Don t forget to tag us!) Think of a busy time of the day and a location where everyone will go! Think of a reasonable price such as 50p, 1, This is to make it easier when it comes to the customer spending!. Don t forget to advertise beforehand so your colleagues remember to bring some money.

5 RAFFLE To help you raise a bit of money, why not have a raffle? Ask friends, family & colleagues to donate unwanted possessions. This will help them get rid of old items and it s all for a great cause! Use our poster to advertise the raffle, and share the event on your social media. (Don t forget to tag us!) 9 SWEAR BOX Why not have a swear box in the main office? Use our poster to advertise the swear box, and share the event using your company s. This event can take place any time or any day as there is always someone swearing in the office! Have the culprit donate 1 to the swear box for swearing! Put warnings up prior to get all colleagues on-board and remind those swearers to bring cash!.

11 LAZY LIFT To help you raise a bit of money, why not have a lazy lift event? Use our poster to advertise the event, and share the event using your company s and notice boards. This event can take place any time or any day! Have a fun time, donating 1 for each time you use the lift! This may be something that the receptionist can help with depending on the location of the lift..

13 GUESS THE NAME OF THE BEAR To help you raise a bit of money, why not have a go of guessing the name of the teddy bear? From the names on the grid, ask someone trustworthy to choose the name and seal it in the envelope seal it. Remember to choose someone who will not be taking part so no one can say you are cheating. 16 GUESS THE AMOUNT OF SWEETS IN A JAR To help you raise a bit of money, why not have a go of guessing how many sweets are in the jar? Fill up a jar with as many different sweets as you like, but don t forget to count them as you re putting them in! Use our poster to advertise the event, and share the event using your company s. 19 WEAR A SILLY TIE TO WORK To help you raise a bit of money, why not have silly tie day? Wear a funny or silly tie, funky or flamboyant! Use our poster to advertise the event, and share the event using your company s. This event can take place any day! Have a fun time, donating 1 for wearing the silly tie to work! Pick a manager to choose the winner or have a nominations box for the shift or different departments to participate. Provide a cheap plastic trophy or certificate for the winner.

You decide whether to charge an entry fee + swap clothes for free or free entry and charge per item you swap!
