Predisan delivers physical and spiritual healing through God s grace and power was a very special year! We are a nonprofit, Christian-based organization that provides healthcare and spiritual hope to the poor of Honduras, specifically in Catacamas and Culmi of Olancho. It is our mission to help people realize their inherent worth and wholeness, as God intended. The wholeness we promote seeks transformation in physical, spiritual, social, economic and environmental health. As we embrace our 30th year of ministry, with God s blessing our new plans and efforts will continue to improve the lives and health of tens of thousands of people. We are committed to this and to growing the followers of Jesus for generations to come. This report reflects the stewardship and concerted commitment of individual and church donors, enthusiastic volunteers and our dedicated Predisan staff to love God and love people through proclaiming Jesus and healing lives. We thank you!
Rewarding Outcomes In 2015, Predisan implemented a new strategic plan that will carry us through to The results thus far have been powerful and encouraging. Last year, both our service area and Honduras as a whole enjoyed: Reduced child deaths Increased safe births Increased counseling services Increased in-country financial sustainability Reduced maternal mortality Improved access to health services Reduced malnutrition Reduced overall morbidity MISSION PREDISAN President LINDA TREVATHAN, FNP-BC (TN) Vice President CATHY PIERCE-BLATTMAN, RN BS (TX) Secretary DORIS CLARK (GA) Treasurer DR. 4 MISSION: PREDISAN exists as a Christian healthcare organization so individuals in our service area can experience wholeness spiritual, physical, social, economic and environmental health according to God s redemptive plan. We focus on three areas of ministry each provide a holistic approach to healing lives: Healthcare, Community Development and Spiritual Formation. Proclaiming the Kingdom of God At Predisan, we believe the good news of Jesus Christ is the key to alleviating the causes of real poverty in Honduras. Our desire is that our staff, volunteers and the individuals we serve, not just come to know Jesus, but walk in a relationship with Him. Like all our programs, our approach to Spiritual Formation is community-based. Our team of full-time staff chaplains partner with individuals, churches, schools, and faith-based organizations to proclaim the Gospel by offering counseling, discipleship programs, spiritual leadership development, marriage conferences and youth events. In 2015, Chaplains and staff led more than 3,200 devotions, and made over 1,600 home visits to promote spiritual growth throughout our service area. Students in 10 schools and three high schools participated in our drug and alcohol prevention program focusing on drug addiction and its effects, leadership, life values and ethics as well as the spiritual aspects of developing a relationship with Jesus Christ. Patients in CEREPA are continually nurtured with the Word of God through prayer, devotionals, Bible study, counseling, The Celebrate Recovery Step Program, and testimonials. This year, 79 patients accepted Christ as their Savior. Life Changing Impact Predisan donors, both in Honduras and USA, invested in the future leadership of Honduras by providing 168 students with educational scholarships. Recipients also received free healthcare, shoes, uniforms, school supplies and participated in leadership and spiritual development activities.

Providing Care with the Compassion of Christ Healthcare Working out of our Good Samaritan Medical Center, a network of 21 urban and rural health centers, a birthing center and maternal home, and the CEREPA substance abuse rehabilitation center, over 160 employees delivered essential, sometimes life-saving services. They included immunizations, dentistry, general medical care, physical therapy, women s and children s health services, family counseling, Bible teaching, drug and alcohol treatment and prevention education, and our student scholarship program.
The new Birthing and Maternal Home provided 568 mothers the opportunity to have a healthcare professional in attendance at their delivery this year something that was not possible a year ago. Over 95% of the children under age 5 are current on their immunizations. Our Honduran staff, along with 284 collaborative volunteers, provided health and educational services from the surgical suites of the Good Samaritan Medical Center to the health centers, schools, churches and homes in the remote sites of the 2,300 square mile service area. 8 Predisan was chosen by the Honduran Ministry of Health to provide public health services to a new service area, Culmi, with a population of 33,000. Our mission compels us to serve the communities with a holistic approach incorporating prayer, spiritual formation, and leadership development to empower these long forgotten communities. Predisan served 51,048 patients with a total of 163,000 encounters during This is an 18% increase over last year. Expanding our Area of Influence Additional pastors have been hired to serve full-time as Chaplains, bringing spiritual leadership. In addition to providing over 1,350 counseling sessions for marriage problems, domestic violence, child abuse and depression, the Chaplains nurture our staff spiritually encouraging them to use every opportunity to demonstrate the Gospel of Christ.
Community Development is essential to the long-term sustainability, welfare, harmony, and health of families and the communities Predisan serves. We link arms with the communities as well as with local and national agencies, health organizations, education institutions and groups to address the primary causes of disease, to develop preventive programs, to improve housing and living conditions, to resolve conflicts and confront injustice peaceably, and to mutually work for sustainable solutions. Our Christian approach is holistic, addressing the health of the mind, body and soul. We challenge every person and community as we walk along side to see ourselves as made in the image of God and to rise up to our created potential. This mutuality of relationship, responsibility and resources brings reciprocal energy and encouragement to all partners. Community Development
