2 big brothers big sisters of northwest florida 30 TH anniversary For 30 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida has been the area s leader in one-to-one youth services. We match caring, adult mentors with children ages 6 through 18 who come primarily from single-parent homes. As a child, each of us had someone there for us other than our parents- someone who broadened our horizons, pushed us to do better, and brought a little magic into our lives. A Big Brother or Big Sister does just that for the children who need it the most. Our service area includes Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton and Bay Counties. Our mission Our mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-toone relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. In Northwest Florida, that equates to more than 55,000 children in our community who are in need of a mentor to lead them on a successful path to adulthood. Children in this community need your help! Last year, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida served 616 children through one-to-one mentoring.
