Enjoy a fun-filled spring morning in beautiful, historic Catonsville Since 1863, The Children s Home has provided programs and services for children, youth and families in crisis.

The Walk meanders through surrounding residential neighborhoods and the commercial downtown area near the Home. The primary course is approximately 3.5 miles for the hearty hiker.

We invite companies, families, organizations, neighborhoods, faith-based groups, agencies, and individuals to participate in the Walk in one or more of the categories listing in this brochure.

2 Enjoy a fun-filled spring morning in beautiful, historic Catonsville Since 1863, The Children s Home has provided programs and services for children, youth and families in crisis. Since 2006, the Home has hosted the 5K Community Walk for Children & Families to support those programs and services. This year s event is Saturday, May 6 th, beginning at 9:00am. The Walk meanders through surrounding residential neighborhoods and the commercial downtown area near the Home. The primary course is approximately 3.5 miles for the hearty hiker. Shorter courses are available. The Walk begins and ends on the Home s campus at 205 Bloomsbury Avenue in Catonsville. The finish line includes refreshments, music, activities, awards, and prizes. We invite companies, families, organizations, neighborhoods, faith-based groups, agencies, and individuals to participate in the Walk in one or more of the categories listing in this brochure. We welcome active participation (walking) or passive participation (a contribution). Proceeds will benefit The Children's Home 2017 Summer Camp Program that includes arts & crafts, music, sports, horseback riding, swimming, and field trips during the summer months. Summer campers enjoy activities and challenges that build character. A walk on a spring morning can help set youth on the path to success. Recruit a Team Your company / organization / family can participate in the WALK. Teams of 5 or more get a significant discount on registration fees. Plus your group will enjoy a beautiful spring walk plus all the benefits of WALK participants including eligibility for awards and prizes. Teams and individuals can register at Also, The Children s Home can provide information and registration forms for your team. b. Sponsor a Team For $125 (or more) you and your company / organization / family can sponsor a team of youth from The Children s Home.* You will receive a WALK t-shirt and be recognized in the WALK program booklet. Donations can be made by mailing a check to the address below or donate on the Home s website, Click on the Donate button and follow the instructions. In the Memo field, write WALK. * Teams can have multiple sponsors c. Support a Team We also accept gifts to support the WALK gift cards, gift certificates, promotional items, merchandise, etc. These items are used in our prize packages for WALK participates.
